Anyone so stressed out by this exam that they can’t sleep? I have an exam credit expiring at the end of the year, so next testing window is make or break for me. One section left!!

Any advice on how to get better sleep? I run, eat right and take sleep meds already.

Marijuana is really the only thing on a consistent basis that helps me sleep.

If I don't exercise, I can't sleep. If I do, I sleep great. Stress is also a lot less if I get my workouts in as well as better cognitive focus and performance.

Sorry to be creepy but do you by any chance live in the B/CS area? Thinking you might based on your screen name….

@tcheney, ah the joys of our beautiful state. Unfortunately I'm on a hiatus from pot due to looking for a job. It doesn't really help the early waking, though it certainly helps with falling asleep.

Actually logged in now to check out the videos MLA was talking about way up top. Thanks, guys!

It used to take me anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to fall asleep every night. A few months ago I found a great meditation/relaxation app that puts me to sleep in a few minutes. If you have an iPhone, I downloaded Simply Being. I love it!

@delilahdirt – Yes, I am. I do not reside there now, but did for a long while. I am not too far from there now, though.

I listened to mla1169's recommendation (Rob's binaural beats on Youtube) last night. The first video relaxed me but I was wide awake afterwards. I listened to another video by the same guy specific to sleeping with whispering and it sent shivers down my spine after a few minutes. I'm extremely sensitive to breathing and whispering around my neck when I'm trying to sleep – I get shivers and goosebumps that jolt me awake. I had to take the headphones out and it took me a long time to fall asleep. I indulged a little bit in Colorado's finest and finally drifted off. I woke up 3 times during the night but miraculously fell back asleep each time, and the alarm actually woke me up in the morning.

He has a very soothing voice. Very much appreciate the recommendation, though it came a year ahead of my problem. 🙂

@needcofee, I have Simply Rain (we were recently talking about what a great app/site it is for white noise when you're trying to study) but never heard of Simply Being. Will check it out. Thanks!
