I took BEC on 10/28. After that I only had FAR left scheduled for Dec 5. My first exam expiries the end of December. I was so sure that I failed that stupid me didn’t study for FAR – work got busy and I decided if I failed BEC anyways I’ll have more time. Well, I passed. By ONE point. I don’t have the luxury of studying nonstop till Dec 5 (not that I think it’s enough anyways) because of work. I’m pretty sure I’m screwed but does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m legit ready to kill myself 🙁

While i agree it is probably not enough time, i say give it a shot! What do you have to lose? The cost to sit for the exam? Start listening to audio NINJA if you've got it, or another program while you work, do MCQ every chance you have. Worst case you fail and lose a part, best case you're done.

Hopefully you can use the weekends and thanksgiving to study a little extra too.

    Good luck

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Not saying that you passing in 10 days would be crazy, but crazier things have happened. Cmertes gave some solid advice for what to use and do, it can't hurt to try. Gotta change your mindset and look at it like a challenge you can't wait to take on, rather than an insurmountable one. Worst case you fail and try again. Best case you pass and don't have credits expire. I think what you stand to lose merits that you at least give it a shot. Whatever you choose, Good Luck!

If you already paid for it, you should try it. What if you pass!?

I agree, you should go for it!! You never know what can happen!

Plus you were absolutely sure you failed and you passed, so I think that's a testament that you are a lot smarter than you are giving yourself credit. Even if you fail, you are only out the test money, and at least you won't have to deal with the what-ifs!

Plus wouldn't that be an awesome story to finish up your CPA experience when you pass! : )

    Audit 10/2012- 77
    Reg- 1/7/13- 82
    Financial-2/25/13- 78
    BEC- 74,66,81!

    License pending : )

    Ethics- Passed
    Experience- Done

    Using Becker self study.
**For BEC retake using Ninja Blitz, Ninja Notes, Ninja Audio, and WTB (my Becker expired)

Sorry did not notice your first exam expired. I'm sorry to hear that. But, I would still just take FAR for the hell of it. See how it goes. Remember, it could be a lot worse than this. CPA exam is a joke compared to real problems that I hope you don't have.

You have not covered anything from FAR as of today> ? If you have not, dont waste your money(nts), and just take it next window. If you have one credit expiring that means you are taking some time to study like most of us. If you just graduated from College last year with a 3.70 or above then 10 days might be enough if you dont work until exam date. Keep it real!
