Thanks for the advice. I actually wanted to schedule a later exam but it seems that my testing centers were not offering anything that late 🙁 I'll just have to settle for the 12pm exams.

I'll have to look into that. I also was thinking of just taking a Tylenol PM or something similar to get me to sleep more easily. I just have to make sure I'm not drowsy before my exam.

I was just reading up on your conversation about doing this with kids… I couldn't imagine. It'd be so hard! My co-worker's little girl likes knock-knock jokes and he told me the other day she said something like this… “knock knock.. who's there… busy season… busy season who?… See you in May dad.”

I about died.

I'm back and bored lol… i've had the whole month off and realized how fun/unfun it can be to be single again…. lol i kind of dont even care about the exam anymore at this point which is sad to say… o and i did delete her from my phone facebook etc which has helped i guess lol

I did the exam single as well – but was dating during it. Best comment I got from a guy was when we were trying to find a day to make plans and I needed to make sure I had the last 2 weeks before my exam cleared so I told him those 2 weeks wouldn't work. His response? “I shouldn't have to fight with your career just to take you out to dinner.” My thought – my career is what I do, at that point he was just some random guy. Never talked to him again after that one.

Personally I was running with Peter Olinto's line of “if your boyfriend says your boring and all you do is study, get rid of him. Chances are when you pass the exam and are a big time CPA you were going to upgrade anyways.” Best advice ever! 🙂

I am now 3 weeks in a long distance relationship and started taking accounting classes to start studying for CPA exams. Is anybody else in a long distance relationship?

Here's what I've been up to:

Hunting Brontosauruses and barbecuing them for dinner. Yummy!

Getting my bookkeeping business going.

Whipping myself into great shape (e.g., eliminating the dimples from my @ss)–This one will take many months. The CPA exam destroyed me physically. I'm sore from lifting 5 lb dumbbells yesterday. Pathetic.

Looking to meet a swell lad and build a great relationship together.–This is a tough one. I seem to have no problem attracting married men, men old enough to be my father, and weirdos, but quality single men are another story. Ah well.

Spending more time hanging out with friends–I've been going out a couple nights a week with a group of friends to listen to live music. This is so nice, let me tell you! I really missed my friends when I was studying.

Looking into arm extensions so that I can capture Brontosauruses easier.

@ Elaine – yep. Been almost a year now. If it wasn't long distance, don't think it would work out. Taken 2 parts (passed 1, still waiting for BEC) and taking the next 2 in the next 2 windows. Good luck.

I think the only way your gf/bf could go through the process of the CPA exam is if she/he really loves you.lol…too romantic for me..I mean, even one of my best friends told how mad she was at me not for not having the time to talk to her like we did before…and she is only my friend…she called me “Mr. Occupations” lol…so I can't imagine myself having a gf who wants to go shopping, dinner, and all that…I want to pass the CPA exam and I want to b the s**t.haha……Most people indeed think we (studying for the exam) are boring, but what do they know? What's boring for them means for us a great part of our lives.. Life is too short to be putting up w/ other people's crap…FB can be an enemy as well, and just full of bs….who wants to see other people's pics and stupid comments, seriously?lol…just a bunch of dumb people who think they own the world because they have a zillion friends…..are you think the same thing I'm thinking? Let's try to take over the world…muahahahhaa…have great weekend everyone..don't forget to laugh and live….
