I have mass respect for people who have children, or are married and pass the cpa. I am have soo much difficulty studying for it and being single it would have to be super tough to have wife kids and a job and pass

I'm with you pala. Work is insane sometimes, but it's nothing in comparison to work, spouse, and kids. I can't imagine trying to juggle all of those.

I'm not married, but I do have a boyfriend. I also waste a lot of time in traffic going to and back from work. I do audit. Overtime happens even when it's not busy season. I'm still trying to have some sort of social life. Things aren't working out between me and studying. Something has to go.

Ok, I have a question for everyone.

I sat for 2 exams this quarter (FAR and BEC). I won't get results for either until the 3rd week of September as everyone else is probably fully aware of.

I'm taking this week off to relax and to head back to my old college town to watch the first game of the college football season. I was planning on starting REG next week.

My question is: Should I wait for my results or should I start studying for REG next week like I planned to? I'm hoping I passed both BEC and FAR, but not sure if I wanna be in the middle of studying for REG if I failed 1 or God forbid both of them..ugh.

    What do you all think?

A tip on the girlfriend hunt – avoid women with addictions, particularly the big three – nicotine, alcohol, and religion….

Also, any strange psychological problems, drug problems or baggage… avoid like the plague — it will not get better with time…..

Just a few random musings as I prepare to take FAR in about 27 hours…….

    BEC: 87 (7/13/11)
    FAR: 86 (8/31/11)
    AUD: 99 (10/6/11)
    REG: 88 (11/30/11)
    Ethics: 100
    (Illinois)

Used Becker for all four parts. Supplemented it with Wiley Test Bank for FAR and REG (HIGHLY recommended) and NINJA notes.

@Redrage00. I think you should start studying. I had the same dilema, but when it comes down to it that's almost a month of studying that could be wasted on a test that you passed. I'd rather start making progress on a test I know I need to pass rather than study for that maybe. Besides you should be thinking positively!

    B- Passed (2nd Try)
    A- Passed (2nd Try)
    R- Passed (2nd Try)
    F- Passed (3rd Try)

    Never give up!

    @RedRage,

When selecting your one-week girlfriend, you should also steer clear of gals who are also studying for the CPA exam.

CPA gals would be perfect!!! you can ditch her after a week and she will totally understand as she will probably be busy herself…not that i would do this myself, just sayin
