Should I switch studying exams

    Hey everyone,

So I took BEC in Feb and failed. I’ve been on and off studying since March and I do not think I will be able to finish my study material (I am half way done with the ninja book and MCQ) a week before the end of May and feel comfortable. So that means I’ll have to wait till the beginning of July to take my exam which seems so far away.

Do you guys think I should just switch to a different exam and start studying right now and take the exam at the beginning of July then take BEC at the beginning/mid August since I’m already familiar with the material? Is this a dumb idea?

If BEC is your first exam and you're not in any type of time crunch to finish the CPA exams, then I'd suggest sticking with studying for BEC to make sure you pass it in July. I took my time studying for each and fortunately, was able to pass them on the first try so concentrating on one at a time worked for me.

If you do decide to study for another exam, I feel AUD is the one that will give you the best chance to devote enough time to properly study for it in order to take it in early July. FAR and REG should take at least 2 months to properly study for, in general. Of course, it all depends on what you think you're capable of and how much time you can commit to studying, but I feel you should give yourself the best chance to pass each one. That means devoting more time and practice is certainly better than trying to crunch in everything and failing multiple times, extending the pain :).
