@Caddygirl
Welcome back to the circus!
I understand what you mean about Becker. I have Becker, but have found that I needed to supplement it with more teaching style review.
I still use the Becker testbank, I think it is good to mix up the mcq's that you use. I used Becker for BEC and supplemented with the Wiley testbank, and cpareviewforfree. I did add the Gleim free trial, which I thought was worthwhile. For FAR, I used the Yaeger cram. I think Cindy is great for FAR. She explains nuances very well. Her notes are fabulous,and were really a huge plus in my book. I passed both in April and May 2011.
I used Becker and the Yaeger cram for REG and failed last window. 70 🙁 I decided I didn't like the way Phil explained things, for me, it just isn't good. The notes are are good review tool though. I just ordered the Roger cram for REG and I am enjoying it. I think in large part because it is such a departure from Becker and Yaeger. And because he doesn't have a annoying habit of repeating a word (I.e. Tim G. “alright scholars, now use your highlighter, Peter Olinto, “ok” or Phil ” now”)
He is super energetic and I feel takes the time to explain nuances. I think some people find him offputting because he is so energetic. Can't tell you what I know about Audit because I can't seem to pass that one. I am sitting for my third time next month. I have used Becker to no avail. So, I am going to order the Yaeger cram or Roger, not sure yet. I have heard on the forum that Gary Bulmash is the bomb for Audit. However, for me, his voice is just like the Econ teacher in Ferris Bueller, ( Bueller, Bueller, Ferris…….) haha
I would definitely use the free demos on the websites to see how you like their approaches also check out youtube. Also, check the threads here I think you will find more info on other reviews.
Best of luck to you!!
