I got 67 in my last try on FAR. I have one month left to retake- taking FAR in the beginning of Oct. Since I have only one month left, should I keep doing MCQ and simulations and learn and understand the answers instead of re-reading the materials again?

I would do both. If you just don't understand the answer explanations for the MCQ or simulations then go back over the material especially if you feel really weak in that area or just don't get it. But I would have my main studying be with the MCQ and simulations. Remember, don't just go over the stuff your score report said you were weaker on, study as if you don't know anything. In my opinion, you can never do too many MCQ. Also re-work the Sims of your trouble areas. I don't think you really need to re-read the material unless you're still unsure of the concept or accounting rule. Re-read those but you'll probably be best off focusing on as many MCQs as you can get your hands on as well as some more Sims.

I'll be retaking it in a month, too. My NTS expires in September, but I hope to apply for a new NTS so I can sit for FAR on October 1st.

If so, I'd suggest simply focusing on your weaker areas, both in terms of topic content and question structure.

I'm in your same situation. I made a 72 on FAR and am retaking October 3rd. Because there is so much time between now and the exam I'm skimming the entire text over again and working MCQs after each chapter like I did when I first studied it. I just couldn't believe hammering MCQs for over a month 4-5 hours a day wouldn't burn me out. So, I'm going through the whole “I'm going to study as if it's the first time” method. Although it does get pretty mundane because I've seen all this text so many times before studying the first time.

After all the text is done I'm going to start working my supplementary Gleim TB. I might purchase Ninja MCQ if I feel I've exhausted Gleim from last studying. We'll see.
