I recently took REG and did not pass and want to retake it while I have the material fresh. My problem is when I applied for REG I applied for FAR as well and my NTS does not expire until 5/3/13. Do I have to wait until after 5/3/13 to reapply for REG or can I apply sooner? I wanted to retake REG asap, and take FAR in early May after busy season, but I am thinking I can’t reschedule yet. Anyone know??

You may reapply for REG and take in another window. But FAR expires 5/5/13.

You may reapply for REG now but FAR NTS still expires on the same date. I just had to do a FAR retake after applying for AUD so I know you can apply again.

I can personally verify that yes, you can retake an exam within the original NTS period as long as it's in a different testing window (quarter). I did this with AUD when I failed it back in August. The original NTS (AUD/BEC/REG) expires this month and I was able to retake (and thank god pass) AUD in November. It created a time crunch to study for BEC, but it was well worth it in my opinion. Just so you're aware, you will have to resubmit an application and receive a new NTS, which costs ~$260.
