Well, there are a lot of broad suggestions I can give you.
What study materials did you use on your first attempt? If it had video lectures, I wouldn't recommend re-watching them, they've done their job already. How did your MCQs look? Were you using the NINJA MCQs? If so, what kind of trending scores did you see (both on the summary and the detailed report). a 68 isn't “bad”, but that does mean you missed quite a few questions and likely have a gap in your knowledge somewhere. You should receive a letter in a few days that says something VERY general about where your strengths and weaknesses are along with your final score.
You really need to:
A) Identify your weaknesses. Be honest with yourself here – You can't fill a cup that thinks it's already full. I know I stink at Assertions and I've gotta drill that big time over the next few days.
B) Drill MCQs and Sims that cover your weak area.
C) Polish up the areas that you're already good at, just to make sure everything is reinforced.
D) Don't quit taking AUD thinking you'll come back to it. You're already in a good place here and you can get those 7 points next time…or the time after that if need be!
I say this in a lot of posts, but I highly recommend Ninja MCQs if you aren't already using them. They show your weak areas so much better than anything Wiley, Becker, etc. shows. it's ridiculous how good of a value they are.
Also, Ninja Notes; buy them and re-write them by hand at LEAST once, and look over them several times. I think the AUD edition has 85 pages of actual notes. Just re-write 10 pages a day on top of MCQs and you'll be good to go in time for the 4th Qtr Window.
Oh yeah, and hopefully you can take some comfort in knowing that you aren't racing against a clock yet. Once you pass an exam then you have 18 months to knock out the other 3. That sounds like a long time, but it's definitely not!
