Hey guys, hope everyone is having a good morning. So I took BEC at the end of last month and ended up getting a 70. I didn’t get to study the final two weeks as much as I wanted as a family member passed away. I was gonna move onto REG but my friend kept saying I was so close and that I should just retake it asap. As we all know I don’t need 5 more points, I need 75 more points.

So my question is, should I move onto REG or retake BEC as my next course of action?

I just squeaked by with a pass on BEC but had that not been the case I would have definitely taken it again before moving onto studying for REG. There's just so many formulas that can slip out of your mind when you're filling it with other topics.

I am in a similar situation, I found out I just passed FAR yesterday and was planning on taking Audit, again…. I have taken it a couple of times in the past, but my most recent scores have been 72, 74, 74. My wife recommended I take another section and come back to Audit. She suggest BEC or REG, but I am scared to death of REG for some reason, I guess it's all the tax laws. So I think I may save REG for last, I don't know. I am so tempted to take Audit again since I am so close.

    FAR - 77
    BEC - 77
    AUD - 89
    REG - 85

Megatron, since you just passed FAR, I think this is a great time to tackle AUD again. Since there is some crossover from FAR into AUD, having the information from FAR in your head still could be just the thing you need to get you over the AUD hump.

Soundwave, I think taking BEC again as soon as you can makes sense. I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Soundwave – personally I would go back to BEC. When I was working on the exam I took Far mid-November, gave myself the week of Thanksgiving off from studying, started studying for AUD right after Thanksgiving, then found out I failed FAR with a 74.I went back to FAR so I didn't have to start from scratch (which I felt like I would have had to do if I had taken AUD then gone back to FAR). Thankfully it worked out! I just would hate to have forgotten everything from FAR while studying for AUD and had to restudy FAR completely rather than just more reviewing/MCQs.

I agree with K917–Retake BEC now before you throw other material in the middle of your studies.
