This might be an in-depth posting but I just have a few concerns and would like to get my CPA license within 8-10 months. Thus, I’d prefer to get things done efficiently and effectively.

1) Which CPA review course should I go for? I can get Becker for $2,000 but I’m deciding between that, Gleim, Roger’s, or Wiley. I’m also not entirely sure if I need an entire package. Would it be possible to just review the textbooks (can be purchased separately), get the Ninja MCQ’s, and then take the exam?
2) I plan on also using some Ninja materials. Currently, my plan is to take FAR>REG>AUD>BEC. I am not sure if I need supplementary materials and was wondering if anyone had any experience using Ninja Audio/notes/MCQ for these four sections. Ex: Does it make sense to get MCQ for all sections or only for certain sections? If anyone has had experience with the MCQ, do they have an explanation as to why the answer is correct?
3) Which materials did you use and what tips do you recommend? Ex: Create your own flashcards but would you guys recommend reviewing the book > reviewing the MCQ’s > repeat?

@fkcKing Congratulations on deciding to throw your social life down the drain for a few months–I mean–bettering your career!

All kidding aside, I recommend you read through previous forum posts and see what other people have done. If someone has their scores posted, perhaps go through their history and see if they have made a post about how they got it done. There are as many methods and suggestions as there are people in this forum.

Also, Jeff has a great podcast that has all sorts of awesome tips.

Some things you need to ask yourself is how much do you want to spend, what kind of student were you in college, how can you juggle domestic / social / work responsibilities, and what sacrifices do you want to make in terms of leisure.

The first thing you need to do is figure out how you learn best. Are you a visual learner or do you prefer to read and take notes? Each course offers something unique that sets it apart from the others. Most people who prefer lectures would recommend Roger since his are the most engaging and he does a good job at explaining difficult topics. Others who prefer a more systematic and detailed course would probably say to go with Gleim since it's thorough and has the best test bank and sims.

I'd sign up for the free trial for each of them and see which one seems like a good fit. If you're still on the fence then maybe purchase one subject instead of the full course.
