Well, two weeks from today (Friday the 25th) I face the last big hurdle in acquiring my CPA license. On Friday February 8th, I will take REG. I am starting my final review Monday. I am in a reflective mood for some strange reason, and just thought I would post it.
I am torn because I am a long way from were I need to be, preparation-wise, but at the same time am beginning to realize, “Hey, this could be it!” I think it’s okay for me, personally, to let these thoughts start to slip into my mind because my reaction is excitement which in turn leads to more motivation for quality study time. It’s like my last couple of miles of a marathon; they will require me to dig deep, but I feel close. I remember a few months ago telling someone on these forums how much I envied them for the position of sitting for their final section, and here I am. I honestly, did not expect to be here at this point because I was prepared to be at this for a couple of years. I think the key for me so far is buying in to what I was doing, having confidence I could find the right answer, and making studying a part of my daily life (consistency). I don’t want to jump the gun because there is a reality where I don’t pass in two weeks, but I am going to do everything I can these next two weeks to make my vision a reality. Keep your nose to the grindstone, and before you know it, you will look up and be staring at the finish line. Good luck everyone!
