I am so annoyed today. I am trying to switch between work and studying today because the rest of the week will be so busy, it will be difficult for me to study at all during work (including lunch) and the guy in the cube next to me is driving me insane!!

He is always some what annoying because he talks on the phone so loud all the time switching between Spanish and English. Well today, I am stressed and tired so I am a lot more irritable and I think he knows it because he is being more annoying than usual. I’m sorry but if you have so little to do you need to call your brother and wife constantly and speak loudly about your apartment and cable bill and crap like that then you need to go ask for some work to do! Holy cow! How inconsiderate do you have to be to sit there in a cube full of people and carry on 30 minute PERSONAL conversations and not give a crap who you are disturbing!

Ok I feel better, maybe I won’t yell at him today…

Thanks guys! He is only a part time worker so he leaves in ~20mins but I am telling you what, no other person gets under my skin like him. Part is probably because he is a cocky little shit who is actually a complete idiot. GRR!! I really want to start talking in spanish so he will know that I know he isn't on a work call and needs to shut the F up. The ice cruncher near me doesn't even aggravate me as bad as him talking. I am so ready to have my office back!

Use ear plugs or head phones if your job allows that. When I was super busy at work I would sometimes use head phones because I hear everything. I could hear a conversation from inside an office with a closed door as if they were standing next to me.

I think we need an OT thread titled “cube life”, lol. I soooo understand your frustration. We have what they call “huddle rooms” that I would use to study, but some days they were busy or I just didn't feel like packing all my crap away from my desk and I would try and study here…rarely worked. I can hear the radio in the office in front of me – SO annoying. They listen to a crappy station I would never listen to, but if it's a song I know I cannot ignore it, grrr…And the woman on the other side of my wall does the personal calls all the time. Like scheduling her colonoscopy – Really?!! Did NOT need to hear that.
