Quick Question – How many MCQ does Yaegar go over?

I searched but couldn’t find the answer. I am looking to buy Yaegar because I read that they go over “a bunch of MCQ”.

Does this mean they go over every MCQ they assign or just a few?

The reason I ask is because in Becker, they go over very little MCQ and the rest of the MCQ it takes forever for me to figure it out on my own. I just want someone to teach it so me so I can learn it quicker!

Yeager goes over enough questions per module and they assign homework questions. They are pretty thorough in the explanations and you can use those explanations to complete the homework or any other problem. I also think that the Wiley test bank is a great supplement if you are looking to do non-stop questions.

    It begins with a 75

They go through quite a lot. Sometimes it seemed like they did more questions(especially sims) than go through the material, but it worked for me. I bought the AUD cram after my 74… and it got me another 11 points! I recommend it!

Hmm….honestly I would advise against getting the Yaeger cram for REG. Never bought the cram but I'm using the homestudy for REG and Phil does all of the teaching and I find his teaching style to be less than desirable. It could just be me, but I would at least watch the demos before you come to a decision on making any purchases.

    FAR - 77
    AUD - 75
    REG - 78
    BEC - 83

Jamesk1980 – Thank you so much for telling me that. I watched a demo and I fell asleep. It may be good for some people, but it was a little to slow paced for me.

My score report was Stronger in Ethics & Legal Responsibilities, Business Law, and Federal Tax Process. It was comparable in Property Taxes and Individial Tax and Weaker in Taxation of Entities.

I was also comparable in MCQ, but weaker in SIMS.

I will study like I haven't seen the material before, but what can I do to increase my score on the SIMS and Corp. tax?

(Btw, I have Becker from my firm, I bought Roger CPA before I got Becker from my firm, and I had Gleim Online because my professor made us use it for my graduate class.

I was thinking of doing all the Gleim SIMS on the tax topics only and reworking all of corporate tax with Roger (since I only used Becker the first time)

Do you think this well help me get over the hump (I got failed REG with a 70)

I did stronger on SIMs for REG but honestly, I practiced only a few and I wasn't sure about half of them! In my opinion, the key is to know the material very well and if you have no idea how to solve the sim, try to find some answers in IRC.

Also, make sure you really understand all the tax form which they cover in your books.
