First post here, been lurking for a while tho 🙂

I am in Colorado, and it has snowed a good amount, and is still snowing.

I found the testing center phone number, but no one answered and there was no recording regarding the weather.

My question is: Do testing centers ever cancel/change a test date based on weather? If so, do they call or email the test takers before hand?

Not sure. I would hope they'd reschedule you, but it seems difficult because so many people might have exams scheduled on the days that you're trying to get.

Also, how'd you set your avatar picture?

Yeah, it would be nice if they could reschedule it, but yeah that could be difficult.

You can change your avatar picture on this site and many other blogs/forums by going to Gravatar.com. You can then set your primary email address, and a picture. Then when you use that email in forums, such as this one, it uses the picture you set up in your Gravatar account. It's quite nifty.

@Breckskier, I was literally just on skype with my friend in Colorado and he said it's been snowing for over 24 hours! Anyway, in my state we got hit with a huge storm a few months ago, I called prometric to reschedule. They told me, ONLY if the testing center is closed due to weather will they reschedule without a charge. Other wise I think they charge you. When is your exam date?

@Peanut Haha, that's pretty crazy. Yup, it's been snowing quite a bit here in the past day, sadly not all that much in the mountains tho.

Well my exam is tomorrow morning…I was hoping they would call or email regarding if it was closed or not, so I wouldn't have to risk the drive at 6am tomorrow.

I love skiing and snowboarding on the snow, I really dislike driving in it tho.

Yes there have been weather related cancellations. A year ago in Chicago there was a blizzard and I heard there were a day or 2 of cancelled testing. I think the window was held open a few extra days.
