    Well this week I’m doing something different. Usually when I set myself certain amount of time to study, it doesn’t happen, so I’m going to continue working on mini tests all week and maybe try to get through all topics on Wiley at least once. I am planning a day off today since it’s my birthday. I have not taken a day off totally from studying in who knows how long. I usually just try to study whenever I have a chance.

    Have a good week everyone!!

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

    Hi All! First off, happy belated birthday to Jomarie & Cameron!

    Last night, I got in 4.5 quality hours of study time 🙂 Unfortunately, the weekend was a disaster and I basically got nothing done so I'm still working on finishing off those lectures. Tonight I'll finish and move on to MCQs, rereading, and making notecards. I'm taking jomarie's approach and am not declaring the # of hours I'll study, I'll focus more on the studying itself rather than the amount of time going into it.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

    Happy Hump day! I am so looking forward to the weekend. I do have a question for you guys, do you spend more time watching the lectures than you do with the MCQ's? I wonder because at this point (14 days) until I test I am mainly focusing on doing MCQ's. Also, do you always complete all the MCQ's before you test?

    @JoMarie

    What is great about the Roger cram is that they are so much shorter than Yaeger and he jams so much more detailed information into them. And I think his study guides are fab! Hope today is a great study day.

    ~

    I got done what I wanted yesterday, just didn't have the scores I was hoping for. I am going to keep plugging along today.

    Have a great study day!

    @yankee & jomarie, thank you for asking! My ankle is cooperating now, but apparently my limping around made my back jealous. I don't know what went wrong, but when I woke up on Saturday morning, I almost passed out when I tried to stand up because something felt like it was being pinched on the right side when I put my weight on the right leg. Maybe it was a back spasm… in either case Sat-Mon were not fun days for me but thankfully whatever it was, it completely subsided so I'm almost good as new! 🙂

    My parents are doing fine, and most of the insurance troubles are settled now that we found out that the owner of the vehicle is insured after all and we got a hold of his policy number. He was phone stalking us in an effort to prevent us from filing the claim, but we nipped that in the bud when we said we won't take less than $10K for the loss of our car. He's in for a world of trouble since his employee was driving without a license.

    In other news, I got 3 hours in last night and had a wonderful dinner with my friend, and that was the perfect break from REG. Now I'm ready to go full steam ahead for the next 9 days and murder REG on the 26th!

    Typically, I don't watch lectures so close to an exam, but this time, I am doing anything and everything. I have the Roger cram and find him really detailed. So, I plan to rewatch a couple of lectures that are my weak spots. In terms of mcq's. I usually do all the mcq's. Then just do simulated exams or progress tests etc. until the bitter end. Mostly, anything goes!!!

    Have a great day!

    @yankee – I haven't receieved the package yet from Roger. I'll be getting it on Friday. In the meanwhile I figured I would start the lectures since my exam is a week from Friday.

    @JoMarie,

    Great idea. I didn't use the course just the crams from Roger, so I can't compare them, but I am very happy with good ‘ol Rog–showtunes and all!!! I think his study book is great! he has all the recently released AICPA mcq's which were good practice. have fun storming the castle 🙂

    Good morning!

    I hope your week's so far been productive…My week's been pretty busy and haven't put in so much time yet for studying, but hoping to get lots of study time in for the second half of the week!

    @KasiaS

    I'm glad to hear things are doing better for you!

    @Pacific1

    Generally I'm not watching lectures anymore and just reading/notes/doing mcqs because I find that more beneficial for me. But that also has to do with the fact that I usually haven't finished reading the book yet or doing the mcqs. If I would be past the mcqs once and reading the book, maybe I would listen to any topics that pose the greatest difficulty to me, or listen to a cram session…depends what I think has the greater benefit.

    @Jomarie (or anyone else)

    How is the Roger cram better than other (cram-type) review materials?
