I'm on break. I've been studying straight since September with only about a week off in there. Took BEC middle of October and passed, took Audit 11/30 and failed (for the third time), took audit again 01/06 and then REG 01/18. Potentially lost credit for FAR on 01/21. I'm not looking at anything until after FEB 3 (or whenever the scores are released). If I passed them both then I'm done. If not then I have to plan a new study schedule adding FAR back into the mix but for now my brain needs a break.

Well it is safe to say that I totally screwed myself over. I was sick all of last week and barely got in any good quality studying. So today I decided I would push my exam out 2 weeks to allow myself a good review. Logged onto prometric and was confused as to why it wouldn't let me pick the date I had in mind. Come to find out 2/1 is when my NTS expires. That being said I feel like I will be pretty much taking FAR for fun. fml.

I agree. I just don't know how to use these last seven days wisely. I mean its not like I haven't been studying I have been at FAR for a while now. I guess I just had my mind set over the weekend that I was moving it so this just threw me through a loop. I had been in a funk the past few weeks about how I wanted to throw in the towel I wasn't meant for the exam blah blah blah. So today I woke up with a new mind set and told myself ok you will push the exam out 2 weeks and bang out FAR. Well that didn't go as planned lol. Love myself for mixing up my two NTS dates in my head right now. Everything happens for a reason right?

Hey you might just get lucky and pass. Let me know how it goes. I kind of feel screwed for this exam, but I hear that's normal. I wish I allowed myself more time to review. Just now going over bonds and tomorrow I want to focus on a bunch of practice tests all day and night before throwing my hail mary. I don't feel as confident as I had hoped at all, and now I am kinda regretting telling everyone I when my exam is because now all I am going to hear are “so how'd it go” (like we ever know) and “I'm sure you'll be fine” (which I have been hearing for 3 months now). I really hope I do not have to take this exam again and don't walk out of Prometric in tears. Lets hope its true what they say, and the exam questions will be nothing like the fireballs Becker is throwing at me.

I guess on the bright side, I now know some more effective ways to study if I do have to take it another round. Is it sad that I am actually excited to start on AUD?

One of the partners at my firm today was telling me I just need to learn how to cram efficiently (whatever that means!). So I am hoping that if I just give it my all this week I might squeak out a 75. I mean I have watched 51 hours of lectures and have done all the Becker questions for F1-6. I think I am just going to do testlets of 20 questions on every topic over and over again. Then read Jeff's NINJA guide each night before bed. Who knows maybe this was a blessing in disguise as I really think I just wanted to move the exam to move it type deal.

I hope you do well! Bonds are tough I just did a testlet of 20 questions and got a 50 yuck. Looks like that will be my night! I am trying to decide if I should do a 90 question exam to see where I am struggling or not.

My exam is 2 weeks from today. My plan is the remaining of this week mix it up with rewriting NINJA notes and working MCQs when my hand starts getting sore from writing to much. Then next week, knock out so many MCQs that I'll be sick of them.

Thanks Jomarie! I was thinking about rewriting the NINJA on my lunch breaks where I feel like I don't get many MCQs done in that 45 minutes.

Well my manager gave me Monday off to cram for my exam on Tuesday. That makes me feel a little better about this seeing Saturday is our first “official” Saturday of tax season. I got this, I got this, I got thissss… or that is what I am telling myself haha!
