In honor of JoMarie, I thought I would start a power week thread.

My goal today through Friday is to get through the material. I need to start my final review Sat so that I have a full weekend and week before my exam on Sat, the 25th. I normally sit on Mondays, but we can’t take time off work Aug-Oct for budgets, so a Saturday will be interesting.

I plan to study the majority of today and will do the ELL plan this week. Early and lunch Monday, Wed, Friday. Late Mon-Fri.

I have my next test on the 24th….BEC. It is going to be a lot of late nights my hours this week are 7:30 -7ish. So I will be trying to study as much as I can but it will be hard. This is going to be tuff but I hope the Ninja can keep me on track…

I take FAR 8/25. I am sticking to my ELL plan I have been doing for the last month, but studying more on the weekends. It is frightening how fast the exam is coming!! I love Saturday testing days, then I just take Thurs/Fri off.

BEC on the 27th…finished watching the becker lectures, now it's actually time to learn some of this information. Just finished working through COSO and ERM and I feel like I'm about to puke. Perhaps I will go through that one more time tonight and then start with the Cost accounting tomorrow which is probably my worst subject ever since my cost professor never actually taught us anything.

How important are these formulas??

I found that with cost accounting, the formulas are dumb. I think if you understand what the purpose is then it is a ton easier. I still can't tell you the formulas of them but when I received a question I just sat back and thought, ‘What are they wanting?' and ‘How would I find that answer at work?' A lot of people try to memorize the formulas, and I did too, but at the end of the day, I think that it is a lot easier to actually understand what you are looking for. You have way other things worth memorizing…

I seriously need a Power Week, taking BEC 2 weeks from Wed and not feeling like I'm where I need to be is making it so hard to focus at work and actually get anything done. I think I've spent more time studying & on A71 today than I have actually working. On top of all that I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding Saturday! Light at the end of the tunnel is that my son has a sleepover Friday night so hopefully I'll get a lot done then 🙂

How is everyone doing on their power week?

I could be doing better but also could be doing worse! haha Work is going to be slow the next seven days so I should have a good amount of time to study. Today I am focusing on my weak areas which mainly consist of PV, Governmental and NFP. I need to get a little stronger on Stockholder Equity, Stmt of CF, Deferred Tax and FC Transactions. Everything else I seem to score in the 80's and higher. Hopefully the next nine days will be my last 9 days studying for this test!!!
