Thanks! I actually try alternating the nights I intend to stay up really late with the nights I try to get to sleep at a somewhat decent hour. I know if I stay up late too many nights in a row I end up getting strep or something like that…

At one point when I was teaching, I was teaching around 25 periods a week and had another part-time job and was taking 6 classes in college and had regular other obligations, yet didn't seem to feel as tired as now even though I stayed up late preparing lessons for teaching… I guess studying for the CPA really takes a lot out of a person!

All I can say is, I'll be glad when this studying is over and I can go back to a normal sleep routine.

Anyhow, good luck studying!

Got 3.5 hours in so far. The damn ratios for AUD is taking up a lot of time. But I'd be horrified if I got a SIM on it and didn't know what to do.

Got in about 6 hours so far and plan on at least another 4 and I feel like I'm getting nowhere with this awful corp tax. I think I'm blowing it out of proportion because it seems to be such a huge portion of REG. I think I have ind tax, liab, preparer responsibilities mostly down. I'm taking a “break” from corp to refresh property, estate, trust & partnership taxation. haha. I'm definitely losing it!

ugh! I am sorry about the colonoscopy–I had one last year-ugh. How are you feeling on FAR? It has alot of information–but you can do it. Don't get overwhelmed in your review, do what you can and know that you have done the work.

How great that your family gave you leeway for studying on Turkey Day! I hope it ended up being a successful day. Don't beat yourself up on Corp Tax. It will come together before the exam! And remember, it isn't the only topic covered. You got this….and those red panties. FYI: If I pass Audit, I am going to frame those red panties!!!!! Keep it up!

you got this! I can't lie, the sims were rough. The best thing I could say is that you have to take what you have learned in Audit and apply it in the sims–don't get thrown by those questions, and you got it!! Good luck!!!

Sorry – I missed your post all the way up there about your colonoscopy and your mother's leg. I'm sorry things haven't been so easy for you lately. I hope you can get your studying done easily!

So this is my plan: Work on BEC 4 today and tomorrow. Hopefully work on BEC 5 tomorrow night/Sunday. Roger Cram Sunday night and Monday after work. (I thought it was only supposed to be 8 hours but then I saw it said somewhere 19 hours???) Then do mcqs Tuesday day. At night I've got college and if I'm not too exhausted, do mcqs then. Otherwise go to sleep and be up bright and early for 9:30am exam!!

@Yankee thank you for the kind words! I'm praying that I retain just enough to pass tomorrow! The couples' massage is scheduled for 2PM tomorrow so I can unwind and not care about the outside world. Hopefully at this time tomorrow, I'll be walking out with at least some confidence from Prometric.

Today's Plan: Finish partnership & corp taxation and so a last run down of my note cards. The plan is to be in bed by 11PM so I can get some sleep before the showdown.

Last night I had a nightmare about the exam. I woke in a panicky sweat! First, they seated me next to some chick who had to dictate her answers out loud to the computer, after pleading with the staff I was relocated to the staff lunchroom and given a paper copy of the exam. The problem was that the questions were in one section of the booklet, answers in another, I was not even half done with MCQs when I looked up at the clock and saw that I have 1 hour left. I've never been happier to wake up and realize it was just a dream!!! Hopefully tomorrow is a better experience. lol

@yankee – thanks so much for the encouraging words, I am just not feeling to sure about this test. I have 5 more days and still have so much material that needs to be learned and somehow memorized in that amount of time. This is the time where I normally have my meltdown and think I need to reschedule…but I CANT! The reason I am still working on this goal is for years now I have been rescheduling, one time it was a good 9 months in between tests. So I must take this no matter how prepared I am, what is the worst thing that can happen…I fail and heaven knows I have already done that and I survived. FAR is my least favorite section, REG is my favorite ( I wish I could send some of that love for REG to you Kasia 🙂 ) I had actually passed REG and lost the credit but FAR is just horrible to me for some reason. But with score releases being much better and we should get our score the 7th of December a week after I test if I do not pass I will push AUD back a month and jump back into FAR. I am just so envious yankee that your test is over and now you can relax. 🙂

@pacific, I'd happily switch brains so you can have my FAR knowledge and I can have your love for REG! I actually liked studying FAR and I totally kicked butt when I took it. I WISH I could even remotely enjoy REG but I feel like each new tidbit I learn, I push 3 out of my brain. @kasia, I have found for me I can only do so much the day before, I tend to mess myself up if I do too much! Sounds like you have had a great study schedule so I am sure you will do great. Take the evening off and just try to get rest!
