Watching lectures on Risk Management, Project Management, and Performance Measurements. I swear it's the most boring part of BEC. Going to need extra coffee with a double shot of espresso. Thank goodness it's the last of my lectures.

    My progress:

I have one hour left to watch of roger cram. Roger's website says that it is 8 hours of lecture…completely wrong, it is like 11 hours. Thankfully it has been a gray weekend in south Florida, so I had no distractions. The cram is very good, nothing new, considering that I have gone thru Becker lectures, book and mcq's twice, but to be honest some topics are more clear now. I hope to get the magic 75 next time šŸ˜‰

The plan for the week: finish roger cram and work mcq's and sims in Wiley and Becker…..all day/all night

I've been slacking, but I am ready to studying! I plan to get through another module today at least! I need to step up my game ASAP and I am planning to do so! I was applying to a lot of jobs and I am going to take a break from that and just focus on studying and see if anything happens with those applications. We are less than a week away from July! We must keep going!

I feel you Ashley. Same boat here. I got to get motivated to put in the work overtime for FAR. I am in a FAR slump and getting a little worried that I am nto picking it up as well as the first time.

I don't consider myself a “crying baby” or a “drama queen”, but I WANT TO CRYYYYY.

The pressure that this is my last exam is taking over. I have been studying hard enough to feel good with myself, but at the same time every time I open the book or a new “practice session” I noticed that I have forgotten something. I have completed Roger cram, almost done with re-writing my notes, and have been working MCQ's and SIMS on Wiley tb and Becker. My score on MCQ's +85, but the SIMS uuugghhh. I am doing ok in some of them, but not so well in others 50/50.

For the rest of the week I am planning to spend more time with SIMS, than MCQ's. With SIMS, you are not limited to 4 options, you have to actually use your brain and apply the concept which is what I need to do now. SIGHHHH

    Any tips?!?!?!

@Marivy22, I know the feeling. Pressure is on! Just want to be done.

I really have NO idea what else to do to prepare for this exam…. I have done thousands of MCQs. I roll my eyes pretty much at every question in Becker, Wiley, Cpareviewforfree. I can tell you why that answer is right, why all the others are wrong. This is how I felt last time I attempted AUD, and I ROCKED the MCQs on my exam.

Not to be so detailed but, I've done all the Becker MCQs, plus several practice exams, the Becker Final Review MCQ + SIMs. Plus all the regular Becker SIMs, the Becker Final Exam. All the Wiley MCQs, all the Wiley SIMs, the cpareviewforfree SIMs and tons of questions. I've read the Becker book fully twice, I've read the small Becker final review book once. I wrote detailed notes, I rewrote those detailed notes. The only thing I have left to do is Becker final exam #2 and AICPA release MCQs (which will take me half a day tomorrow). I did all of this last time minus reading the Becker book & taking notes. I still have until Tuesday July 3rd.

    What else do I do!!!!!!!!!!??????

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    @Peanut

The last thing for you to do is get out of your own way! You are smarter than this test. You know this material, you know how to take the test, know you just have to walk in there an do it. Don't think about that this is your fourth time, just answer the MCQ. You've got this!

As for me I am just coming back from Scotland. The trip was amazing and a great break from studying and the Texas heat. I am buckling down. Starting with a Diagnostic Test then going to figure out what to do from there. I failed FAR with a 72. Not as bad as I expected considering my 4 days of studying. I was hoping to finish before my 26th birthday but since it is on the 12th, I am just not going to put a deadline on myself. I am going to study and study hard and schedule the test when I am ready. That is what I did for REG and I passed. Here is to eating, sleeping, and breathing my last CPA section for approx. 4 weeks!! WOOHOO!!

@Marivy22 – I'm kind of feeling like you are inside of my brain, just typing my thoughts exactly. I feel more prepared than I ever have for my FAR retake. But I am doing the same thing you are. I do a progress test or practice test and realize I missed something stupid or I didn't RTFQ. I think I'm going to get a sharp object like Peter Olinto (from Becker) suggests and just jab myself in the leg everytime I get a question wrong b/c I don't read it properly.

The thing getting me through is this. The worst thing can happen is that I can fail again. I'll still be alive and it won't be the end of the world. So I know that all I can do is try my best and give it all I can so at the very least, I know that I left everything at that prometric center!

@Peanut, sounds like it's time for a score in the 90s, girl! I bet it's going to happen! I'm going to be so excited for you!

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

@akb9874, thank you very much, that is exactly what I needed to hear!! The Scotland vaca is exactly what you needed to give you the boost to slay this last beast. If you've already slain the other beasts, FAR will be no problem. Like you said, you only did 4 days of studying and got a 72. I think FAR seemed difficult to study for, but the actual exam isn't too crazy (personal opinion–REG was much more difficult in the actual exam) CPA's 2012 baby!

    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Gah!! I feel like I can't do enough to get ready for REG!! Between studying for it and my midterm that is due this weekend, I feel like I need to throw something!! I just have to keep telling myself to keep plugging along and I will be where I need to be by 7/19. Next week I start re-writing my Ninja notes and adding fact nuggets to them in a different color ink as I pick things up I am not so good at on MCQ's. Then it is non-stop MCQ from 7/9-7/18!! This month has flown by. Time to batten down the hatches and get ready to take this one down!!!

@jomarie Get it girl!! I do the same thing. Rewrite, hand cramps, MCQs, hand recovers, Rewrite, repeat…repeat… lol

@Peanut Don't tell me that!!! lol Keep plugging away, if nothing else to keep everything fresh on your mind until your test. Then go in there and make AUD your b*tch!!

@Mrs300 I think the RTFQ syndrome is kind of a good thing. When I finally get to the point where I realize that I am doing that, I usually am starting to get a good handle on the material. Just have to slow myself down (especially on test day!!)

@akb Dive right in to FAR!! Glad you enjoyed your trip and had some time to recharge. I can relate to the heat. Highs over 100 here for the next several days. You barely failed with only 4 days studying!!! You will nail it this time around!!

    AUD 4/12/12 79
    FAR 5/29/12 76
    REG 8/2/12 82
    BEC 8/30/12 72 Retake 10/18/12 76!!! DONE!!!!

Thank you for the vote of confidence! I see you are going after REG. That was by far the hardest one for me! I hate REG! You will do great though. Study hard

@akb I expected FAR to be my beast but I'm glad I didn't underestimate REG!!! I still have 3 weeks left but have a lot of work ahead of me!! So far, I am not freaking out about the material like I did for FAR so that's a good thing!!

Last day of our blackout month…now we will be entering the dark side LOL!!!!!AAAHHHHH šŸ˜‰

Here at the library 8am-2pm. Still working MCQ's and SIMS and will be on the same situation until next Friday. Praying hard for this to be my last Saturday at the library…….I promise to bring my son to pick up some books or whatever, but I don't want to study anymore.

How come Wiley website is going to be offline next Monday from 9-5??? My office will empty next week and I was planning on working some Wiley MCQ's during Monday, first day of closing it is not as crazy as the following days. Now, I will have to work with my Roger cram book (wish will be obvious to my co-workers that i am studying) and Becker SIMS.

    Have fun with your studies!!!
