Ok, who in with me?? I’m planning on taking down BEC in July. I’m not going to lose another whole summer to these exams, I’ll settle with half but not whole. Just downloaded BEC NINJA audios to my iphone and BEC books. Going to start this weekend with some lectures. Let’s go get them!!

I finished chapter 2 this morning and started rewriting NINJA notes this afternoon to give myself a little break from watching lectures. How's everyone else doing? July will be here before we know it.

I am working through FAR. I am doing MCQ right now and then later I hope to watch 3 more lectures.

@Jomarie – do you re-write your notes while you go through each section? Is that better than waiting until you finish every section and then re-write the whole thing?

@Ashley – I mixed it up. If I'm getting bored watching lectures then I work on some MCQs or write notes. If I get bored writing notes, then I'll work on MCQs. I always turn to MCQs.

Jomarie – I love how you keep all of us motivated! I watched my Govt chapter last night in Becker and took intense notes. Then I listened to Jeff's audio (which I just purchased and absolutely LOVE) on my Ipod while I cleaned up the kitchen and wrapped up my work area before bed. I feel like everything is coming back to me and it feels good! Also, I am going to do the “I” in NINJA while I Nail the videos like you said in your feature post!

I hope to round out the week with NFP and IFRS. I am doing basic concepts also. That will keep me on track for next week.

I have prepared BEC with Becker and Yeager, couldn't get over 74. What is your strategy to beat BEC.

How is Rogers review for BEC. Do they cover written communication.

@Aishan – He does cover written communication. For example, he'll read you a written communication problem then explains how he would answer it along with actually answering the question. Besides that I'm re-writing NINJA notes, listening to NINJA audio, and working on Wiley MCQs.

I'm baaaaack!!! Took a couple of weeks off waiting on my score. I really thought I would be picking back up with FAR but thanks to all those power weeks/weekends before the test, I got a 76!!! So, this week I am getting back in the groove and starting REG. Some of you may have seen me post before that I am 3 credit hours short of the requirements. I am taking care of that right now too by taking Tax I. So, even though I have not been studying for the CPA exam, I am in the 3rd week of that class. I am counting my hours spent on the class as hours studying for the exam since individual tax is included. I just hope it doesn't take too much away from studying everything else. So far, I have been able to finish all class stuff by Tuesday so I will have Wed-Sat of each week to go through my Wiley book and ExamMatrix.

I am going back to taking Sundays off. At least for now. That may change as my test date gets closer. But, it seems to help me a lot to get to enjoy at least some of my weekend. 🙂

Reporing my progress……..

This week I am working with tax related topics only. So far, I have completed all Becker MCQ's and now working on Wiley's MCQ's by topic. I finished the all corporate taxation MCQ's and SIMS yesterday with a score of 80%, not bad, but considering that I used the “bulb” for help in some MCQ's I will be revisiting all those MCQ's before the exam. Now, I am working on all Individual taxation MCQ's (7 left) and will work all SIMS tonight.

This is the first time that I work Wiley's MCQ's by topic. I have always done that with Becker and used Wiley for practice exams……..I guess REG is my monster and it needs to go down on July 7th.

I need to place Roger Cram's order today, so I can spend either the weekend or few days early next week watching those lectures. Hopefully, his energy and experience will help add some points to my score.

Done with tax related MCQ's and SIMS in Becker and Wiley. My plan for the weekend : 6 hours of business law MCQ's and notes on Saturday and that's all. I plan to enjoy father's day with my son and husband….

Helpful note : I downloaded a flashcard app to my iPhone, “flashcards+ by Connor Zwick”. You can either make your own notes or download from an existing database…. I downloaded some commercial paper related flashcards..

I guess I'll give an update too. I've gotten through becker entirely once. I'm going back and reworking all the b-law questions. My goal is to be done with those by the end of tomorrow. On Sunday I plan to work a bunch of b-law questions from my Bisk book. On Monday I will move on to a two week intensive tax review. I am going to re-watch R3 & R4, since all that material is fairly new to me, rework all the Becker tax questions, and then do a bunch of Bisk questions and SIMS.

@Marivy22, OMG! This is amazing!! I just downloaded the App. Putting a bunch of Auditing flashcards on this. This is so great! Thanks for the recommendation! The key to REG is definitely doing as many MCQs as possible. Becker + Wiley was the perfect mix to get me over the REG hump. If only I could get over the AUD hump!
