Ok, who in with me?? I’m planning on taking down BEC in July. I’m not going to lose another whole summer to these exams, I’ll settle with half but not whole. Just downloaded BEC NINJA audios to my iphone and BEC books. Going to start this weekend with some lectures. Let’s go get them!!

Marivy22 – I used Roger Cram. I though it was really good b/c the way he explained different topics worked well for me. He also kept repeating different nuemonics that he though were very important. At first it was a little annoying when he did that but honestly now that I think about it, it actually helped me remember them.

Almost done with REG-Becker lectures. I have 4 hours left. Next week I am planning on review and re-write my notes, and work all MCQ's from Becker. Towards the end of next week, I need to decide and buy a CRAM course.

@Jo, I'm finishing up the Wiley MCQs for AUD today. This week I'm going to concentrate on SIMs. Since that is my biggest weakness. I'm going to re-read all the Becker chapters, and work the SIMs from Wiley & cpareviewforfree. I hope this will give me the edge that I need this time around!

@Peanut – I'm with JoMarie on the Ninja Audio. I could not pass REG to save my life until I got the audio. It was a life saver!

I'm in with y'all all summer long. FAR is scheduled 7/6 and BEC on 8/31. This is the last year of my life that this exam is going to steal! I feel like the political candidate whose campaign slogan was “The rent is too d@mn high”. Well “This test is taking too d@mn long and the fees are too d@mn high.” Another summer with the boat sitting in the garage instead of in the lake. If I don't pass soon my husband is going to sell it!

I'm working the Wiley problems in Gov and I have lost my Gov text book that had all of the journal entries laid out all nice and neat. Now I'm freaking out and getting problems wrong. So I'm taking a 15 minute break from Mr. Wiley's Wild Ride to find a source for Governmental journal entries. UGH!!!

@Peanut – I bought the audio from Yaeger for REG and I couldn't get half way through it. The Ninja audio is a million times better.

Man, you guys are reeeaallly tempting me to get the ninja audio for FAR. But I'm like Peanut and I'm not sure that the audio will help. I am already planning on re-watching all of the Becker lectures in areas that I struggle with.

Peanut, I have heard from several people that if you can show Becker your prometric confirmation, they will give you an extension on your Becker materials for 45 days or something! My Becker materials expire in 15 days so I am going to call them tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find out!

New week…exam date is getting closer!!!

Done with Becker's lectures 😉

My plan for this week: dedicate the week for tax related MCQ's and SIMS using Becker and Wiley.

At this point, I am second guessing myself on whether to buy or not a CRAM course. My reasoning: if thousands of people have passed the exam using Becker and Wiley, why do I have to spend more money on a CRAM?

Oh well, I will let you guys know by the end of the week.

So I'm starting my BEC restudy today. I came close…I don't have a date set in stone but I'm thinking July 9th as an exam day. That would give me 28 days to study and I'm willing to put in 4 hours each day and possibly a little more on the weekends. So I'm looking at an additional 110-130 hours of study. Is this how most people approach a retake? What's your strategy?

That's how you do it!!! Pick up the pieces and start all over again. It is easier to say than do it, but you can.

If you are more comfortable with one topic than other you can just skim thru your notes and work MCQ's. For other topics that you are less confident: view the lecture, take new notes, read the book and work MCQ's.
