Ok, who in with me?? I’m planning on taking down BEC in July. I’m not going to lose another whole summer to these exams, I’ll settle with half but not whole. Just downloaded BEC NINJA audios to my iphone and BEC books. Going to start this weekend with some lectures. Let’s go get them!!

I am in…I am going to try a different approach to my studies, I need to work hard on really understanding the material and not just cranking out MCQ's and not let the silly timer bother me so much. We have a pretty quiet weekend around the house and the weather isn't too great so I am going to try to stay focused and get a good 10 plus hours in this weekend.

Lets all make the best of this so that this is the last June we lose to studying!

I have scheduled my exam for 7/7…lucky day, no sit available for either the 1st or the 2nd as I wanted 😉 Like Jomarie and Peanut, I am not spending my summer at the library. This morning I almost cried while driving to the library…

@pacific1, I can totally relate to everything you just said. I really need to take a different approach to my studying, instead of just hammering MCQs. Obviously, by my score report–I smoked the MCQs on my AUD exam, but by the look of my “weaker” SIMs I'm having trouble applying that knowledge. What are you going to do differently in your approach? For me, I'm going to write and rewrite notes out, which dramatically improved my REG score, and also take a look at the cpareviewforfree SIMs, while practicing Wiley & Becker SIMs. I've hated cpareviewforfree for the other sections, but for AUD the questions seem to be more…”realistic” than their other sections. Plus, the SIMs are only 10 bucks so why not. Also, the weather where I am sucks–it's supposed to rain the next week, I'll just hermit.

@Marivy22, Yeah!! No studying all summer!! For FAR, I tried to treat every section like a project. I wouldn't move on to my next “project” until one project was completed. Also, I wrote notes on JUST super important topics Becker outlines. If you take notes on everything you will have 80 pages of notes. A couple pages on each chapter of just the important things written out will make a huge difference, promise. (Even though I only scored a 75, but still!)

I am in this month!!! I will start studying again on Monday. After my exam on Thursday I didn't feel well, and last night I ended up getting my appendix removed. So relived it was after my exam and not right before!! Looks like I get 2 weeks off work because of my line of work. When I heard that I thought of all the studying I can do!! 🙂 FAR is going down on July 11th!! 🙂

@peanut – Because I do not have a review course some of the concepts are harder to grasp, I am using Gleim MCQ's, NINJA and will be doing Wiley online here in a couple weeks once I have made it through the Gleim questions. So, with that I need to actually research the questions and answers since I do not have any lecture's to watch to teach me the information. In the past I just did the MCQ's and read the answers but didn't really dig down deeper to really understand the concepts and that is what I am trying to do this time, I think knowing the concepts a lot better will really make it much better.

Just started studying for BEC again, thanks to my co-workers who went out to lunch and said to me. Take a break from work and start studying. At first I was thinking I don't have my book or notebook, but then I thought I don't really need the book to watch some lectures. So I took out a legal pad and started watching Roger's BEC course. Now that I've started I can't stop. Planning on picking it up again tonight.

Hey Jo Marie,

How are you? I took BEC last Thursday, ugh! If I pass, I'll be done, but if I do NOT– I will lose my FAR credit. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if the latter happened. I have made the decision that even if I fail, I am not giving up. So IF that's the case, I'll re-take BEC and then start studying for FAR.

But as of now, I am not studying anything until I get my score.

I'm in too. REG on July 3rd. So far I've watched R1-R6, started R7 this morning. I'm on schedule to finish R7 & R8 this week (that includes MCQs). The next three weeks I'm going to spend re-writing ninja notes, then rewatching B-Law and Tax lectures. Then MCQs til I feel sick. I will pass REG this time. One summer I worked at a coffee shop and we had a secret motto among the staff… “Make it your b!tch.” That is what I plan to do with REG. Good luck everyone!

Thank you! I finally got my study materials yesterday from my place and brought them back to my mom's. I've been here since Saturday morning. I found out her DVD player plays at a faster speed! I am going to start re-studying FAR today. I will make myself a nice schedule for this week so I can stay on track. I have all this extra time now and I want to make very good use of it all. Looks like I will only have to work 3 days at the most before my 7/11 exam. I may even move my exam up to that preceding week with all this time.

Need help. I am half way thru REG-Becker. Since this is my second try and the only exam left to be finished with this I want to get a cram course. Still undecided between 2: Yaeger or Roger………any toughs or experience?!?!?!

I really, really, really want to pass on this try. For my FAR retake I just did Becker, but since I have no tax experience and my report showed my weak areas been: entities taxation and business law I want to add something else to my study plan/material. I have Becker 2011 and Wiley testbank.
