I have to get most of the stuadying during the week in this week. I have a family birthday party this coming weekend and plus it’s my husband’s birthday during the week. So I know this coming Saturday and Sunday are going to be bare minimum for studying.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

I'm in. I fell off the wagon last week with only 9 hours during the week and 16.5 on the weekend (my goal was 40 total). I'm going to try and stay on track and hopefully see a passing score on Thursday to push me even more.

One day is today! I'm DOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Glad everyone's motivated. Last night was a very light night. We didn't get in from trick or treating until 8:30, so by the time I put the kids to bed, it was almost 10:00!! I felt I still had a lot of energy to tackle a few lectures so I sat down, started Roger, and then the tiredness hit me like a ton of bricks. I did finish the one lecture I started, then went off to bed. This morning I feel like I have a Halloween hangover, I have a killer headache. Hopefully, a few Advil will take care of that for me.

Good luck to those who are sitting today and I hope everyone's power 20 week is going good!! I'll be lucky if I hit 10.

I put in 5 hours yesterday on REG. Mission accomplished. Today I sit for REG. Holy Crap!!!!! Tomorrow, I start on my path for 20+ hours on Audit thru Sunday. Home stretch…trying to finish strong!!!!

Yesterday like every Monday, there were too many things to be done. So I was able to accomplish only half an hour of reading notes 🙁

Today I am back to it, so far 2 hours. I will have to make up Monday over the weekend. 6 more hours to go..

i am dealing with little issue, all libraries I have been to are freaking freezing because they have A/C on and the same with coffee shops, and it makes me cold sick or sinus sick. So i am trying to find a way of studying at home without being distracted. I have a house with nobody distracting m

e, but somehow I find distractions and can't focus, any tips?

@agniechaCPA2011: Hello my Polish friend! I study at home because it's the most convenient location and most other places would be too distracting to me because I'm so very easily amused while people-watching. What I do to prevent distractions is, shut off all electronics aside from my iPod to listen to my lectures (I'm taking an audio course) and if I'm feeling particularly weak-willed I force myself to study in the dining room because it's the least interesting room in the house with nothing else in there except the china cabined and dining table.

When I'm just reviewing notes/reading study materials or doing MCQs, I put in ear plugs (best brand I've used was Howard Leight LeightSleepers) so that no noise can get in my way. It's amazing what your mind will focus on when it's trying to avoid one more MCQ! I've even been distracted by the sound of the fridge kicking on before using ear plugs… sad but true.

Finally, I take an herbal supplement called Rhodiola. It helps to focus my concentration and makes me alert without causing me to lose sleep later in the night. You can get it at GNC but can probably get it cheaper online.

@KasiaS, Dziekuje! Thanks for the tips! i set myself up a table in the corner of our office, nothing goes on this table but CPA stuff only and I control my room temperature. Our dining table chair's are the worst chairs ever. When I get CPA and job it will be time to upgrade to better ones :):)

I will try out Rhodiola, considering I can't drink any coffee anyways so it will something else to try and I can always take it back if I don't like. Ohh my I love America returns policy LOL

Hope studying for REG is going well I hated it more than FAR (I am retaking FAR after 73), glad to have REG behind me.

4 more hours of studying and i will meet achieve 6 hours of studying but that's better than yesterday!

Hey guys!

Thanks for the well wishes. Reg is done and now onto Audit. The mcq's were decent…my second testlet got easier, the third seemed harder–hope that is ok! The sims were goofy. Not terribly difficult, just wasn't 100% confident on what I did. Then on two sims I just blanked out. They were subjects that I totally knew, but for some reason couldn't pull it together. I finished them, but have no idea how I did. I hate that the sims are the last thing you do and remember-UGH. Oh well, onto Audit!

Going to do 20 hours on Audit!!!
