    @jomarie

    I'm so happy to hear the good news about your husband! I hope you feel better and that cold disappears! Good luck at the doctor!

    @KasiaS

    I'm sorry to hear about the accident, but I'm glad your parents are ok! It must have been so scary for you…

    When I got back from college last night I was too drained to study. I hope to put in 5 hours tonight!

    Good luck studying, everyone! Week's almost over!!

    Thanks everyone! I'm thankful that they came out of it unscathed and that the court date is on Dec. 23 and not before Thanksgiving! I'm just worried that this is going to be a bigger pain since the other driver is basically uninsured and he was driving a company vehicle (landscaper). Since my parents' English isn't the best, I'll have to play lawyer/translator during this ordeal. I have my work cut out for me but hopefully there won't be too much for me to deal with in the next 2 weeks.

    Happy studies all! And thanks again for your kind words and support!

    So sorry to hear about your parents accident. Glad they are ok. I totally understand the translator position…my family is from Argentina. So, I am the point person calling on insurance, Comcast (yes!), Medicare and the like. My Mom feels self conscious about her accent and her english, so she would rather I call for her. Anyway, still a tough situation. Hopefully the landscaper had car insurance on his company vehicle.

    BTW, thank you, thank you for the avatar. I am going to put that movie on my list of movies to watch after I finish Audit. There are so many good laughs in that movie. πŸ™‚

    I'm Happy I did so much recently, but I think I have to write this test off.

    FAR XXX

    Experience XXX

    lol, not sure that is the right journal entry. Basically, anyone with kids, married, and outside resposibilities knows what I mean. I don't want to get into it, but my better half didn't know (although I said countless times) that I have to pass by 2/23/12. She took it as “why is it so important to do it now?” As in, “why do you have to take it in November?.”

    Looks like two tests next window again, but at least I have a base down.

    Communication factor of a marriage just settled this. My marriage > FAR.

    I'm still going to sit for it, why not right? At least I know what's at stake going into my last window. I just have to make sure to communicate it to my wife, most importantly the job ahead of me.

    Too many things on the homefront to get into. I guess I'm your typical male, expecting my wife to read my mind…

    Zero hours today, I have responsibilities as a parent and husband instead.

    Good luck everyone.

    @Macc Grad – why are you ruling out that you will not pass it already? You still have a couple more weeks to study, do you have any time at all available to study for the next 3 weeks or do your other commitments require you to put it down completely for now? Even if you can just squeeze in 5-10 hours a week that is something and might just be enough to pass FAR….you only need a 75! But even if you don't pass the 5-10 hours a week studying the next few weeks will only get you closer come the next testing window.

    Please don't lose hope, you can do this!

    @ Macc Gradd, you got this… Don't count yourself out until the scores have come out.. You never know the CPA Gods may shine a bright light on your score.. lol.. All jokes aside though, seriously, you never know and I wouldn't give up so soon. Good Luck to you. You will have to give the wife and kids a good vacation so that you can study.

    Hello!

    Well as usual, I put too much on my plate. I am always surprised by how long it takes me to do mcq's in Audit. No calculations hardly, but still takes me forever! Going to work sims all day. I think a change of pace is due. And I think the sims are a good learning tool for me since I (hate) struggle with Audit!

    @Mac Grad

    I agree with Pacific and MyLifeisCpa! Don't count yourself out. Keep it up, I wouldn't count it as a fact finding mission just yet.

    I had a similar conversation with my hubby. I took REG on Nov 1–he thought that I was done for November. Of course he did, he never asked me how I did last window when I took REG. Not blaming him, the CPA is off his radar, but he was disappointed that I had to keep studying, he thought the madness was over. To make it worse, I told him that Audit is my archnemesis and I was going to have to study a ton. Basically, just pretend I am not home. He was not a happy camper! So, I am working hard to put this behind me.

    Hope you guys had a great day yesterday..the month is flying by. Let's finish strong πŸ™‚

    @yankee – isn't amazing how fast this month is going? I started the month thinking oh I have so much time till the end of November….NOT, it goes so fast and I am down to 19 days until my exam.

    Well this week hasn't been as productive as I had hoped, but I am going to work a short day today so I can study extra and then that is the plan all weekend….other than the all important getting the hair colored so the grays are covered. πŸ™‚

    You are soooo right! Seriously, it is scary. I have 12 days to study. Overdrive time!

    Must be something in the air, because I am putting in the hours, but never reaching my goal. I hope we can both (and everybody else that is behind) catch up this weekend. BTW my hair appt is Nov 30th !!!!! Have a great day.

    I'm right there with you Yankee & Pacific. Last night, I got in just a little under 4 hours and still have 11 hours of lecture left so I'm planning to get in 5 tonight and finish the rest tomorrow, then on to MCQs and notecards on Sunday. I sure hope I'll really get a lunch today!

    I also was not as productive as I would have liked (as is evident by a thread I started last night :)). But the week's not over yet! We can do it!

    Happy studying!

    This week hasn't been productive for me either. Must be something in the air. This cold I have has knock me off my feet. I was in bed by 9 last night and didn't get up till almost 7 this morning. It did feel good to have a good night sleep. Back at it today. I was thinking maybe I should push my exam back to January, but I figured I'd wait until closer to exam date. I have up to 5 days before the exam to reschedule with paying to much of a rescheduling fee.
