    I recently just received my grade for bec 72… i used becker and now want to supplement with wiley….can someone tell me if i should get the paper back test bank or does it matter if i get the software instead….Also, I had planned on taking regulation at the end of November and now I’m not sure if I should retake bec at the end of November since the material is relatively fresh in my mind….If i push reg off till 2012 will the material change a lot since i have becker 2011 material?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Were you planning on taking another exam now? I think you should take REG soon, as the material is still relatively fresh in your mind. Why push it off?

    Sorry, can't help you regarding the test bank

    I haven't started to study for reg yet…I wanted to take it at the end of november because i'm currently studying for far (oct. 16)…..however, since i failed bec i figured i should retake it at the end of november since i still know most of the info…not sure what to do??

    Tough decision…I think it really boils down to what you feel is best. How far are you in FAR (no pun intended :))?

    If you're pretty far, then I guess it would make sense to take it as scheduled, and then take BEC after. If you're not so far, maybe take BEC asap (if you can get some good studying done beforehand) and then take FAR at end of November…Can you take REG next testing window, or will your NTS expire?

    My nts for reg expires January 31st, so i have time for that test…..I'm currently reviewing for far now..i finished all topics so i'm gonna go ahead and take that on the 16th….i just hope i can register for bec again and get my nts in time to register at the end of november…do you know how long it takes to receive your nts after you re-register.

    It usually takes just a few days.

    Quite a few people said they re-applied over the weekend and got their nts today.

    One the other hand, some of us (including me) have been having trouble re-applying…

    But if you can apply, it should just take a few days.

    The material for REG is probably changing as I type this. However, Becker posts updates online frequently. Since you've already made it through the FAR material, go ahead and prepare for it. Then, it would probably be good to tackle BEC a second time and knock it out in November.

    To reiterate what Acct said, you should get your NTS on time. The only one that took me longer than a week to get was my very first one and that was because they had to process me through the system and so on. I've found that calling NASBA is more effective than trying to navigate their website. That leaves you all of December (a non-testing month, I might add) and then all of January to prepare for REG. Studying may not exactly make your Christmas very merry this year, but it's just a temporary inconvenience for a future benefit.

    Best of luck to you.

    BEC - 85 FAR - 83
    REG - 84 AUD - 86
    DONE. First time's a charm.

    @ jdd32005, what study material did you use? I'm using becker…do you think i should purchase the wiley test bank for bec?

    @lindjlny

    Sounds like a good plan.

    By the way, when I asked if you could take reg next window, I meant Jan/Feb window, not Oct/Nov window…

    Also, as what Jdd32005 said, it's good to check online for Becker updates and changes. I didn't realize to do that for my first exam, but I did it for my others and there were quite a few updates/changes.

    Good luck!!

    @lindjlny,

    I only used Becker throughout my entire CPA exam process. I cannot attest to the efficacy of Wiley or any other study materials. I believe that Becker alone is sufficient to pass the exam, but that may not be true for everyone.

    BEC - 85 FAR - 83
    REG - 84 AUD - 86
    DONE. First time's a charm.
