I know how miserable it can be studying during the holidays, so I am trying to avoid it as much as possible. I plan to sit for FAR before Thanksgiving. For my (hopefully) last one, REG, I am thinking about studying first 3 weeks in December and last 3 weeks or so of Jan with the hopes of taking it end of Jan/beginning Feb. I am being optimistic that taking a one week break won’t affect me too much. I did it for AUD since I took a 1-week vacation and it worked out, but then again I fear REG like the plague.

What’s everyone’s plan of attack for the end of the year? Do you think it’s crazy to take time off? Have any of you done it and been successful?

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

Give yourself some time off, @Amay. I try to give myself a couple weeks in between each exam, and it's quite heavenly :). You deserve a small break. Long enough to get a small taste of freedom, but short enough so that you don't lose steam!
