I know how miserable it can be studying during the holidays, so I am trying to avoid it as much as possible. I plan to sit for FAR before Thanksgiving. For my (hopefully) last one, REG, I am thinking about studying first 3 weeks in December and last 3 weeks or so of Jan with the hopes of taking it end of Jan/beginning Feb. I am being optimistic that taking a one week break won’t affect me too much. I did it for AUD since I took a 1-week vacation and it worked out, but then again I fear REG like the plague.

What’s everyone’s plan of attack for the end of the year? Do you think it’s crazy to take time off? Have any of you done it and been successful?

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! πŸ˜€

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently πŸ™‚

Thanks everyone for your thoughts! I am feeling less guilty about taking time off. Honestly, I am feeling a bit drained so I am really looking forward to it, even though it seems so far away with 2 tests in between and all…

Holiday? What's that? I take my last section a few days before thanksgiving, so I guess I will have somewhat of a holiday? Minus the 30 page paper for class.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

    BEC – October 12th

    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

I scheduled my last exam the Tuesday before Thanksgiving so hopefully December can be a little less stressful. Even if the worst happens, and I don't pass, I am still taking the holidays off to recharge. Most importantly, my family and I need to have quality time where we can just be together without thinking about all the things we have been through this past year!

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77
