I just found out I passed FAR and now am trying to figure out which exam to take next. I am basically leaning towards REG over AUD but just wanted to hear other’s opinions before I lock it up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

FAR - 81
REG - 75
AUD - 85
BEC - 79

Definitely REG, there are several very close topics between FAR and REG. (Like deferred tax liability, REG is going to ask you in a different way, but the concept behinds are similars). Once you pass FAR, you can take a small portion of REG there.

AUD has less information compared to FAR and REG, so it might be a good “break.” Also, sometimes AUD sims consist of J/E related to FAR, so since FAR is fresh in your mind…AUD might work better!! But like CPA-Convertible said, REG and FAR does overlap bit. It's really up to you!

thanks Sivsav…today is one of my happiest days in life. You did great on FAR, so just keep what you are doing eventually you will be there too. For me, reading the book is one of the key, I read the whole text book back and forth slowly at least twice in total. The second time also help me understand the materials better and picked up something I missed the first time or something already forgot. good luck and you will be there sooner than what you think.

I would go with AUD. Felt like many parts of FAR flowed into AUD nicely. If you are planning to take it in July, I'd go with AUD, a lot less intensive than REG.

I would go with AUD, then BEC and leave REG for last…

I definitely remember wishing I'd taken FAR before AUD–I agree with everyone who says you should take AUD next. Not only is it a good break from the intensity of FAR, but some of the material in AUD may come easier to you now that you've kicked FAR's butt.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am still deciding but most of you seem to say that AUD is what I should take next. Still waiting for my NTS so I still have time to decide. But I am now leaning more towards AUD. Thanks again!
