In my previous post, I wrote of how I passed FAR in Feb 2012.
I used Roger and I think there is no way I could have gone through the whole FAR nightmare without Roger.
I don’t know how that worked but I felt I needed Roger to walk me through the topics before I delve into the subject matter myself.
And so, as I said in that post, I dumped Roger for BEC ( even though I had paid for it) and stuck with Wiley.
I also bought the Wiley book for AUD.
So, I went through the material module by module in the order they are in the Wiley books. After every chapter, I would do the MCQs at the end of the chapter. I’d take 3 Qs at a time and then review their answers.
Do not waste a minute on the simulations, you only need to know the structures of the AUD simulations.
I call the above, round 1.
In round two, I do only the mcqs from the book, five at a time and review the answers immediately. It is tedious but hey!
Round two took me a month ( with a fulltime job putting in 2 hours before and after work and 6 hours per day on weekends).
On round three, I take up the software and do MCQs (a dose of 30 unseen at a time). Module by module on study mode. This is the state where the material sinks into your head! During this round, I mark those questions I think I didn’t have an idea.
On round four, I redid all questions missed more than 0 times…..then redid all flagged questions…..then redid all questions missed more than once and then twice! This was already sickening! I took my flight from Tokyo to LA for my exam.
Arriving on Friday, jet lag and girlfriend and sick of MCQs, I took time to enjoy some good food and fight jet lag for the weekend! Then sat for AUD on Monday and BEC on Tuesday. I didn’t open any book to study after leaving home in Tokyo!
The AUD exam was boring! I felt like I was doing the same MCQs I was already puking of! I almost fell asleep. Time was never a problem….I could do 1 question per minute and had more than 2 hours for the sims….I looked up every single sim ( where possible) from the Auth Lit! There was ample time.
BEC was a beast! I don’t think they got those questions from the material I studied! Nevertheless, pushed me through each one….there was only two calculations….one I did and the other was straight from wiley and so I just picked my answer!
I left BEC ready to schedule again!
I got my result today!
I got 83 in BEC and 83 in AUD!!
REG I am ready for you!!!!
Good luck every one!! And thanks Jeff, this is a great forum!!
