After feeling confidant all day yesterday about FAR, doubts have begun creeping in. Roughly 2 weeks to go and I’m panicking. I feel overwhelmed by the material.

Doesn’t help that I was running late this morning and had a big argument last night with a friend. We are no longer speaking.

Just wanted to vent somewhere. Thanks for listening.

Nothing to panic about. This exam is letters and numbers, not something you should fear. Seriously you're starting to think an exam can beat you? Have confidence and dominate it. Compared to other issues you will deal with in your life this exam is nothing. Take it in stride and knock it the effff out.

It's more than an exam to me. It's an important personal goal. I've made so many mistakes in my past. This is a jumpstart on a new life.

    I can't screw this up.

You're not going to screw it up. Pick your weakest topic and study it until you really truly get it. Then pick your next weakest topic, and study it until you understand it, and so on. The day before the exam, read over your study guides, but don't exhaust yourself. They day of the exam look over your study guides again. Don't do hardcore studying the day of the exam; it will just make your brain tired. Get a good night's sleep and eat a real breakfast. (no poptarts or miracle shakes; eat some meat and bread) …and BAM passing score. Don't ever panic. It won't help.

Remember, the test is designed to demoralize you. Don't let yourself mentally give up in the middle no matter how bad it seems. At some point during every test I've taken, I could have sworn that a fail was imminent. The test is guaranteed to beat you down into mush. Just keep going and stay calm.

Not to offend, but you seem to have a lot of topics lately about burn out, etc – However, on the flip side, I feel you pain about not feeling prepared. This is my FAR retake on the Monday before Thanksgiving and I have to go out of town next weekend. I feel overwhelmed etc…With that being said, I am taking tonight off to prepare for a power weekend tomorrow.

FAR is a lot of material and you can never feel totally prepared.

I felt overwhelmed by FAR and I gave up really studying about two weeks prior because I was over it. My NINJA trending was 68% and I just didn't feel like going over the material anymore. I kinda BSed around prior to the exam and just decided to take it. For me, the key is to go in confident and comfortable, don't let fear beat you because it will. It is just a test, and if you believe you can beat it you just might.

Read every question carefully and guess if you don't know it. If you start to drift, take a deep breath and focus. Staying present on each and every question is important.

The review books for FAR cover a ton and you won't see each topic on the test.

Yes it is a personal goal, and yes it is an important title to carry, but in the end, it doesn't define your life. Don't let that expectation crush you, just do your best. If you fail, you can always take it again.

I get it. People are tired of my stressed out posts. Don't worry. I won't clog the message boards about it anymore.

This is the one bright thing in my life right now. Maybe I take it too seriously.

Don't have many friends right now because I don't have time for them.

Being passive aggressive will only make it worse. This community exists for support because we all fully understand what everyone else is going through. But you have to really focus on maintaining a positive attitude. The only person you can control is yourself.

I'm not in the right frame of mind today. It's been a long week and I didn't get much sleep last night. I still have 2 weeks to review. The good news is, I've been through all of the material and have adequate knowledge of most topics.

I should be in fighting shape by exam day. Eye of the tiger!
