Happy Mothers Day everyone!

With 10 days til the exam, I'm not going to rest today. Although, the moment this test is done, I'm going for a nice dinner and a Limoncello.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the A71 moms!!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!!

My mom is a CPA and a huge source of support and motivation! She sat for the exam back in the 80's when she was 8.5 months pregnant with me! Sometimes when I complain about studying, she laughs and tells me “well at least you aren't massively pregnant!!!”! She is a tiny lady but she carried all in the front and she could hardly fit in the desk they provided! I can't imagine sitting sideways for 2 days straight, trying to keep your nerves in check so you don't go into labor at the test site, and actually passing like that! Because she was SO close to her due date, the state board permitted my dad to sit in a chair outside of the testing room just in case she went into labor! He was not permitted to bring a book, a newspaper, etc. so he had to just sit in a chair, stare at a wall, and pray that her water didn't break for 2 days while my mom wrote her exam! Ha! My mom is a tough lady and if she can do this, I can too!!!!!! 🙂

@MintsRGood – I've heard so many stories about how much “harder the exam was back in the paper and pencil days” but your mom makes the nightmare I went through look like a walk in the park! With those kinds of gene's in you, I have no doubt that 2013 is YOUR YEAR!!!

It's so hard to study for the exams but to be able to do it while having kids is incredible. Here I am sitting reading my notes thinking, ahh my back is achy, my legs hurt, my neck is tight from sitting all day long and then I see people giving up time from their kidos to pass this thing. Reading these posts is super motivating!

This was the epitome of doing what it takes to PASS. AUD gave me some fits, but for the most part I studied 1-2 weeks my first try, to gauge how close I was to passing and then focused studying for a few wks on my weaker areas to bring up my scores… no need to study for 2 full months to get a 90!

Now time for the GMAT and Kellogg or Booth!

I got a nice breakfast today – but not in bed – I had been up for 2 hours already studying.

I've got a pukey kid. hoping it was bad food at her band banquet last night.

hubby had the kids clean the whole house (except for my study-hole of an office)

and they are making a nice dinner.

I might actually stop studying to shower here in a few… but lets face it – the test is tuesday – showering is low on my priority list right now.
