    Hi fellow NINJA’s,

I have been experimenting with different strategies of studying using Becker for FAR.

    1) Finishing all of the lectures and then all of the MCQ’s

    2) Finishing a topic within the lecture, doing all relevant MCQ’s, finishing a topic, relevant MCQ’s and repeat

I can’t seem to discern what’s ultimately better. I score higher doing #2 because it’s fresher but #1 is more realistic of my true knowledge and it seems like I move faster doing this. Anybody have insights into this?

I like #2, but I would also add in a refresher set of MCQ on the topics previously covered to keep them fresh throughout the time you are studying. When you start Chapter 3, make sure you do a session of 20-30 MCQ on chapters 1 and 2. When you start Chapter 6, do a session on chapters 1-5, etc. That also gives you a chance to start seeing MCQ sets with all topics included instead of just one section at a time. I think learning one section at a time and going through all the MCQ for that section is great and helps reinforce the concepts by doing similar questions over and over, but you can't forget to keep the other topics in your head as you go along or you will get to the end and remember nothing about the first few sections.
