Hi all,

I searched the forum but everybody is in a different boat. If you were me how would you approach the order of exams?

Background: I passed FAR, about to take AUD (in this window) then I will have REG and BEC left. I also work for one of the Big4’s with traditional 12/31 year end clients.

Which one should I take as my 3rd and 4th exam? I am worried that if I start studying for REG and enter busy season I will have a difficult time finishing before the window (Q1 – 2015) ends. I was thinking I could possibly study BEC all of Dec and potentially take it very early in Q1 – 2015 then aim for REG? Please advise! Thanks

I have taken REG a couple of times now and i can definitely tell you that REG is time consuming. Since you work full time and busy season is around the corner, i would probably stick with BEC just because you're gonna have just enough time to fully prepare for it.

I work full time and did REG in 7 weeks, which seemed just right. If you're taking AUD soon (in the next couple of weeks?), that should still give you 7 weeks to take it in early January. When do you start getting busy? You didn't mention if you are audit, tax, or other.

@Kimboroni, I am audit. I get busy starting mid Jan and i study about 2-3 hours on weekdays and 5-6 on weekends.

FAR - August 2014 - Passed
AUD - November 2014 - Passed
REG - May?
BEC - Feb 2015 - Passed

That's a pretty good amount of study time each week. You should be able to get REG out of the way before busy season starts. Then you can take BEC in late April or early May. I think FAR AUD REG BEC is a good order.
