Tomorrow is day 1… rise and shine is at 4:45. I have to leave for work by 6:30, which gives me enough time to get an hour of quality study time in. I plan to study for an hour at lunch, and 2 hours when I get home from work. I am going to take Fridays off.

I am starting with BEC, I sit for my first section in April. I plan to study 20 hours per week and utilize the ELL plan that Jeff has set forth with Ninja; thus I also purchased Ninja for BEC to test it out. I am also using Becker, it was expensive, but I already love the structure. I plan to use some of the advice of N.I.N.J.A, but especially the “just re-write it” portion.

I wanted to start off slow and start with one section a quarter, so I have only scheduled BEC for the second quarter of 2012 and if it is as challenging as I expect it to be, then I will schedule 1 section per quarter for 2012.

I am going to follow Beckers “roadmap” as I know plenty of folks who have had a lot of success using the structure.

Well here goes nothing, but hopefully somethin’ big. I wanted to post this to document my journey. Enough talkin’ for now, time to walk the walk.

Are there any others just starting out?

If I wrote a list of things I wish I did differently, I would have come up with YOUR game plan! You definately have the best plans in place, and I expect nothing but the best for you!

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Wow, thanks! I've been really anxious about coming up with a good game plan. I sure am glad I put it out here to get some feedback from others.

Looks like you are a CPA, or at least you've passed all of the sections. That must be an awesome feeling.

Hi! I am also just starting out! I just started to study last week for my first exam that I am planning to take in April as well. I am taking FAR first though. It would be nice to get through 2 exam each window, but I'll see how it goes. I work part time (25-30 hours) and that is my only commitment. I think the hardest part will be just making myself sit down and study. I've been out of college for 2 months and I have definitely grown to enjoy being able to come home and relax and actually have weekends off. The sooner I get it done, the better! Good luck on your first day tomorrow!
