    Hi,
I recently applied to sit for the CPA exam in Florida and I was informed that I was missing an upper-level cost/managerial accounting class, even though I have a graduate level course on my transcript. They wanted to see the course syllabus for the class. In the event that it gets denied, does anyone know where I could take one class cheap if I need too.

    Thanks
    Ken

You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a good education in accounting. There are plenty of cheap accounting classes available that can give you the skills you need to succeed in the field. The key is to find a class that is offered by a reputable institution and that covers the material you need to know. Once you find a cheap accounting class that meets your needs, you'll be on your way to getting the education you need without spending a fortune.

I know this isn't what you asked, but if you don't feel like taking another class, you could always sit in a state that doesn't have a residency requirement, pass/obtain your license in that state, then try and transfer your license to Florida if that is your preferred state. I went to school near a border between two states, and several of my classmates did this when they discovered they didn't have a prerequisite in Kansas, but did in Missouri, vice versa.
