I’m beginning to prepare for Regulation which is the last one that I need to pass. I currently have CPAexcel which is what I have used to pass the other three exams. My books are copyright 2013 and I am just wondering if it’s a bad idea to use this book to study for the test or if I should order an updated version.

    FAR - 63 71 74 76.... thank god
    AUD - 68 75
    BEC - 78
    REG - 78

Yep I would get the updated version… things change from year to year and new testing material can be added this year that was not tested in 2013. Ninja books are very good (got one for FAR and am really happy)

BEC: 5/21/14 82! PASSED HALF WAY THERE!
    FAR: 4/2/15 80! Almost there!
    AUD: 69, 74, 4/3/14 81! PASSED
    REG: TBD

@jrw1990 I have CPAExcel too. They give you free updated eBooks, so I would use those. Or you can click and read the studytext online for a free method of updating. They also sell discounted hard copy books. For something that changes as much as REG, it is critical to have the most up to date lessons.

CPA Excel keeps a list of what lessons were updated. Click on “Updates to course material” on the left hand side of the screen to get an updated list.
