Now that I have stopped crying…

    My “story” is by no means comparable to others that have taken the test non stop over and over. However, when I got my score back on what could have been my last section I just lost it. Maybe it was because it was the middle of the night (THANKS NASBA!) and I was exhausted from busy season, but anyway…

    I got a good nights sleep last night (well as good as you can get with a newborn) and I am ready to hit REG hard! I have one last chance before I lose AUD so I REALLY want to pass! Here is to hoping this is my LAST exam forever!

    I decided to forget CPAexcel and purchased the Ninja book, have Ninja Audio, Notes, and MCQ and I am going to work very very hard until May 29th and pass this thing! Who is with me?!?!?!

    Good luck, Laura. I, for one, will be praying for you and others to finally get past this seemingly never-ending hurdle.

    You've got the right attitude though. Just work even harder and smarter this time and you'll accomplish your goal.

    Thanks Tripp! At this point there is no going back! I have worked long and hard for what I have already passed. I told my husband, I will be studying for REG like I am trying to make a 99! Obviously isn't going to happen but I have enough time to review/restudy that I shouldn't let any topic not be studied and I WILL get that 75!

    I'm right there with you!

    I got a 69 on REG yesterday (down from a 73… ouch!) and am planning on retaking REG at the end of May.

    Unfortunately I have to still take AUD in April; I'm trying to get that moved up to 4/6 but there are no seats available.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

    CPA with kids is just in a category of its own! I have a 4 and 2 year old and planned on taking and hopefully passing before having #3…well…after my first passed exam (I failed my first try at FAR with a 74 but went on and took AUD) I got pregnant so I took my FAR retake at 37 weeks pregnant. I think the people at the testing center were worried about me! I have since passed BEC and took (and failed REG) with a now 6 month old. It is hard working full time with busy season and three kids. BUT as soon as I pass I can be back to working mommy and not working/studying mommy!

    Funny story. A week after taking REG we had to go out of town as a family and so as soon as we walked in the hotel my 4 year old said “look mommy, this would be a great desk for you to study on!” haha! Good luck to everyone!

    Good luck Laura. After reading your story, I really feel like I have no reason to complain. I don't have kids or pets neither am I pregnant, just have a full time job. I shouldn't be complaining, ha.

    Kudos to Laura and Gabe who are super moms and still pursuing their CPA. I just use your example to continue. I dont have kids neither, just a FT job but like coffee-blooded said, we people with no kids should not be complaining. I know you both will have success! Hopefully by May Im done too and we can all celebrate!

    Well I have decided everyone has their outside of CPA life issues. Yes, mine is kids, work, husband, but everyone has something they struggle to balance. My plan isn't always God's plan. I didn't plan on having a baby during all of this, but I can't imagine life without her right now so it is just motivation to keep going and make my family proud! And SOON this will all be a thing of the past! (Hopefully!)

    Agree with Laura- everyone has their own unique situation to overcome.

    @No_one- our 3 year old phased out his naps at 2 :/ it's been rough lol.

    I plan on sitting for my re-take in early April, so I can enjoy his birthday in the middle of April!

    Oh and Coquipr41, I am a dad, not a mom 🙂

    I feel your pain. I took FAR for the 4th time in February….came out feeling confident..It was my LAST exam, I just knew it….until I got my score back yesterday and it was a 67 🙁 My last two attempts were 73 and 74. HEART WRENCHING!!!! Oh well, I'll suck it up and get back to studying and try again.

    You got this Laura. I'm taking REG May 29th as well and also taking FAR on 4/3. I know u have a lot more on your plate than I do given the newborn but If I can rush these sections, you can definitely succeed.

    Best of luck.

    FAR - 80 (4/3/15)

    @Coquipr41 no worries 🙂

    @head above water keep going! Took me 4 times to pass FAR. You GOT this!

    @mkrohmer
    Happy studying for FAR and REG!

    @No_one haha yeah. Zombie is pretty accurate. In fact, the other day he put himself to bed…He turned to me at 6pm and said, “Daddy, I am tired.” Off he went! haha
