Sadly, I've taken 25 exams and I've never taken a break during any session…maybe that is the key! =)

Wow Baxter, never ever taken a break? My pee bag is too small to last in 4 hours. LOL

On my 1st exam, I took a break 3x. Very bad!

So on my 2nd exam, I went on break 2x. Not so bad.

On my 3rd exam, I went on break just once (between T3 to T4).

I couldn't get comfortable finishing my SIM.

Lesson learned, 2 are better than 3 and betterer than 1.

It takes me only 3 minutes each break time so going out twice for me is just perfect.

Never took a break during any of my exams.

I'm curious…even if they would let you look at your notes between testlets, what would be the point? To confirm whether or not you answered the questions correctly? Doesn't make sense to me. You have no idea what questions will be thrown at you during the next testlet.

I think this is saying you cannot refer to your notes during testing.

Policy Statement and Agreement Regarding Exam Confidentiality and the Taking of Breaks

I hereby agree that I will maintain the confidentiality of the Uniform CPA Examination. In addition, I agree that I will not:

    • Divulge the nature or content of any Uniform CPA Examination question or answer under any circumstance

    • Engage in any unauthorized communication during testing

    • Refer to unauthorized materials or use unauthorized equipment during testing; or

    • Remove or attempt to remove any Uniform CPA Examination materials, notes, or any other items from the examination room

I understand and agree that liability for test administration activities, including but not limited to the adequacy or accuracy of test materials and equipment, and the accuracy of scoring and score reporting, will be limited to score correction or test retake at no additional fee. I waive any and all right to all other claims.

You cannot get notes anyway because you have to lock up your belongings while taking the test. If you get a break you can't go back to any previous testlets anyway. Also if you get a break the clock is still ticking so No its not really worth it. Study at home, in the car before the test anything else is too risky and a waste of time.

    It begins with a 75

Noooo, you cannot go to your locker and look at notes! You will disqualify yourself. All you can do on a break is go to the bathroom. ( I took one bathroom break during each exam.) And like tncincy said, what would be the point? You can't go back to a testlet and change an answer.

No bathroom breaks for me either. I make sure I use it right before 🙂 and drink just one beverage an hour before the exam. Can't waste valuable time!!!!
