    Anybody else not like taking notes? I’m finding that by reading and re-reading helps me retain more. I know its not the Ninja way (although, I am reading and re-reading the Ninja notes), but does anyone else do this?

    I read and re-read, but I found that as I do the questions I need notes because I can't always find where I read something, I just know I read it. But there are some that do not take notes……Bless them.

    My mind is already too full to hold anything else.

    I would say that if you find success on your October AUD exam that way – then continue. If not – consider a different approach.

    Whatever works for you is the “right” way.

    Note taking for AUD is hell as there is so much theoretical information. However, it should be worth the payoff. While in Purgatory, you can ascend or descend (i.e. by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail).

    And that's what studying for these exams is: Purgatory.

    I think taking/writing notes on areas you know well is a waste of time.

    But in subject that confuses you, formulas you can't seem to memorize, must-know lists that you DON'T know….. writing & note-taking helps big time!(*)

    * at least for me

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

    @Gina – I took a lot of notes on my first two exams – (and I mean a lot!) and I took less than 10 pages of notes for AUD. I decided I was just constantly going back to my book to review anyways and the note taking was so time consuming. I ended up with my highest score. Works different for everyone. 🙂
