Not sure on the timeline for the required work experience while studying.

If I were to focus full-time on passing the exams the summer after I graduate instead of jumping into full-time work, would that be ok? I have no accounting work experience. I understand that you have to pass all four exams in 18-months, but does that also apply to becoming fully licensed? So if I had all the exams under my belt, would those results somehow be wiped out if I didn’t complete the 2,000 work hours within a certain amount of time?

I understand this isn’t what most people do and I might get some people saying I should be working at the same time, but I have some limitations that I have to accept and do things at my own pace. Just want to make sure that this is feasible.

Actually, a lot of people do just that.

As far as the expiration of your CPA exam results, it depends on your state requirements. In California once you pass all 4 parts, they never expire.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14
