New Months Resolution

I am going to make a new months resolution to study like John Forbes Nash the character from beautiful mind. I honestly have been studying hard enough where I MAY pass my FAR exam on December 5th. However I want to get that crazy obsession where I have to study all the time and I really want to MASTER the material. I feel it stirring inside me right now as I write this.

I am talking about journal entries on the wall studying. By the end of November I want to be able to flip to any page in the Becker book and be able to give a lecture on the topic if i choose to. I want to do so many multiple choice questions that when I close my eyes all I can see is the first four letters of the alphabet.

Not only will I study all of the time but I will do it with the concentration of a tiger stalking his/her prey. A person can come and ninja kick me in the face and my attention will not shift. I am talking about Mr Miyagi catching a fly concentration. At the end of November I will be a master of FAR. I will be setting the ten commandments aside for a while for the one commandment “I shall master the far!”.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Well tough_kitty good luck with your last exam and collecting all those cats. I am sure once you pass the CPA you can afford to have all the cats you want!

Well that was last months resolution and I studied about 7 hours a day 7 days a week(unemployed). I take a lot of ten to twenty minutes breaks between each hour so it feels like I am studying all day.

Late November I went on a three day shark tank binge on hulu and later amazon. This month my average went down from 7 hours to 5.5 hours a day so that I can watch Christmas movies and drink egg nog with makers mark.

I am not sure if you are resurrecting this old post out of genuine concern, to motivate me, or in revenge for picking on Roger. If its out of concern I appreciate it with all my heart. If its to motivate me again to take it up a notch it worked(maybe I'll see tomorrow). If its out of revenge…..I hate you……just kidding(maybe I'll see tomorrow).
