I’ve graduated in 2005 and haven’t worked the accounting field since 2008. Exam materials and programs are so expensive! How do you guys do it?!

It'll cost you somewhere between $4-6k for the review and exam fees.

In the long run, you'll make more as a CPA so it pays itself back.

I had my education paid for by my work, but they do not pay for CPA stuff. (It is a manufacturing firm) You don't have to come up with all the money at once, so I usually end up charging my credit card and paying it off gradually. I think Becker has a payment plan if you purchase materials from them. I agree, it is an investment.

Use Wiley books and testbanks. Only 300 dollars total and you can pass with it!

I am using Exam Matrix. Quite a bit cheaper than Becker but no lectures. I supplement with Ninja Notes & Audio as well as Wiley books (I don't like the ExamMatrix books) You could probably do the same thing I am doing cheaper with Wiley test bank, Wiley books, Ninja Notes and/or Audio. It takes a bit more time because you are teaching yourself everything instead of having it taught to you but I had more time than money so it works out!!
