Need help Increasing score

On every exam I have taken regardless of it being the first time, second, third, or the amount of time spent studying I cannot get a score out of the 70-74 range. It does not matter how much I study. I have passed BEC with a 76 which is going to expire towards the middle of next year so I need some help. In order I scored a 71, 74, 74, and then a 76 on BEC. For Auditing I have taken it 3 times now and I have made a 70, 74, and 71. Regarding AUD I made the 74 after slacking and studying for maybe 2 weeks on and off. I was so irritated with this score I studied for 3-4 weeks consistently everyday and scored lower. I’ve also taken REG a long time ago and scored a 70.

Currently I use the Wiley Test bank, Ninja notes and the audio. I re-write notes, do mcq, and write out the incorrect answers and read the explanations. I usually do not take breaks during the exam and finish with time left so I may start taking breaks after one or two testlets. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on how to get over the hump?

    BEC: 74,74,76
    REG: 70,
    FAR:
    AUD: 70,74,

You might try changing up your MCQ provider. I use becker with a wiley supplement because at some point I memorize the becker questions.

    Reg 76
    Bus 82
    Aud 70, 86
Far 68 ,79 ten point combo FTW

Try adding the Wiley books to your study plan. It might help you get 4-5 extra points per exam.

    BEC - 84 (4/13/2013)
    REG - 82 (10/17/2013)
    AUD - 85 (12/5/2013)
    FAR - 75 (10/11/2014)

@kesm – I feel your pain, I did everything that you did for REG the first time that I sat for it. I took notes, rewrote questions I got wrong, and I went through a very thorough review. I scored a 68!

Now, this is what I did the second time. Please take this advice with a grain of salt, because it may not work for everyone. I started from scratch and cleared all the lectures and all of the questions. I wen through all the lectures and all of the questions, after my first fail, without taking a single note or using a single flashcard. I really focused on the lectures and I went through the questions a little better the second time around. The questions were easier because I had remembered a lot of them. So, to avoid getting used to the same questioned I searched for every question I could find online. AICPA released for the years 2010-2013, Wiley questions, and any other extra ones I could find.

When I answered questions, I would take 20 at a time for each subject and not move onto the next subject until I got a 90% or better(this accounted for duplicate questions IMO). I would do this for each and every Chapter in REG and it works. You force yourself to leave a subject knowing that your last interaction with it was a successful one.

Good luck on your next test!

    F - 79 5/31/13
    R - 68 07/12/13 Retake 88! 10/18/13
    B - 78 08/31/13
    A - 64 01/03/14 Retake 75! 5/23/14 I would rather have a 75 than a 99 any day!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will try to switch up the questions. I do have the Wiley book and I've read some it, albeit not all of it. Cumulative for AUD in the test bank I've done 4500+ mc between the various tests. I don't rush through the multiple choice and like I said each one that I do get wrong I write the explanation and read the other answer choices. I'm going to try taking a break after one or two testlets during the exam since I normally do not take a break. I honestly think I am just a bad test taker or something. I'm not giving up but it is frustrating.
