Hi guys!
I’ve been a lurker for a while, but am now actually posting for the first time because I need some help regarding how to study for REG. This will be my third time – I am just really, really terrible at tax. The first time I took it, I knew I failed, because I just had a lot of crap going on but decided to take the test anyway just to see how it was. I just took it for the second time at the end of July, and failed again with a 74, which is sooooooo frustrating. I’m pretty sure I got screwed by the sims as I had no idea how to do any of them except the research question (and I scored comparable/stronger on everything except “federal tax process” and the sims).
Anyway, so far I’ve passed AUD and FAR and feel pretty confident about BEC which I’m taking on 8/30/13. I have been using only Becker for everything, but I kinda feel like I need to get some more study materials for my rematch with REG at the beginning of October. Sooooo here are my questions:
What new material should I get since I’m starting to remember the answers on Becker and I need more help with simulations? I have written my own notes from the first two times I studied, but they are slightly outdated just because it’s all 2012 numbers from before July. I was considering the 10 point combo or the lite version.
Should I even bother going back through Becker or just focus on the new study material?
How can I be more prepared for the sims?
Is one month enough time to study?
Thank you!!! Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂
