I took AUD over the weekend. This is the 3rd part of the test i have taken. I took FAR in July and passed with a 83. I took BEC in September and failed with a 68. By the time i found out i failed BEC i was already 2 weeks into studying for AUD so i kept on studying for AUD. After I left the test room for AUD, i got the same feeling that i had after i took BEC so I am under the impression that i failed AUD.

My original plan was to start studying for REG and take it in the middle of January, but now I am unclear what to do. I do not find out if i passed AUD until November 22nd. I cannot afford the two weeks off from not studying because I work full time at a tax firm and tax season is coming soon.

Someone has recommended that i retake BEC since the more time that goes by the more I will forget. Also, REG isn’t GAAP and may create some confusion. I was looking at the availability for BEC and they had an open time slot on November 23rd. This would give me 16 days to do a review for BEC. I am a little skeptical though because until November 22nd I am out of the office at clients for interim audit testing. This means working later hours and more time driving. I feel like this would negatively effect my studying review for BEC. That is one of the original reasons why I figured i would start studying for REG since if i missed a day or two it wouldn’t be the end of the world since i would be taking REG in the middle of January.

I am sorry for the long and annoying post. I just have no idea what I should move on to next. I really appreciate any advice you have to offer.

    Thank you

you got a 68 in BEC in September. you didn't say what day, so worst case scenario (meaning longest time since study) you took BEC 68 or so days ago.

Can you review enough to 1 – not lose anything you learned, and 2 – learn enough new stuff to get the additional 7 points needed? OR are you better off to go all out for REG?

How much material are you through on REG? What was your analysis on BEC?

I got a 72 on FAR and lost BEC. I decided to retake BEC and then tackle FAR again. While I did pass BEC, the whole time it was in the back of my mind that I was losing FAR points every day I didn't review it too.

evaluate how much material you need to cover. BEC is all review at this point and REG is new material PLUS review.

    good luck whatever you decide.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

i took BEC September 4th. the only subjects i was comparable to on the analysis was economics and the written communication. I haven't started studying REG yet since i only took AUD yesterday.

I think if you put your effort into BEC, you can pass it IN THIS window. Worry about Audit when you need to take it, which isn't in this window. So worry about what you CAN take in this window, which is right now, BEC (feasibly). Put everything you have in it. I would see if you can drive out somewhere FAR and find an exam spot. I know my manager drove 2 hours to find a spot on sunday.

Then after BEC, depending when you get your scores, start studying for REG unless you failed AUD.

Did that make sense? Sorry for being confusing, but this process sucks so much because it's always dependent on your scores.

I agree with @hasy. Take BEC in this window. I think the window is still extended until December 10th. Review as much as possible and do MCQ until you want to poke your eyes out! You’re close!
