My THIRD 72 in BEC… and at risk for losing AUD. ;(

My 3rd 72 in BEC. Ouch.. even felt I nailed it.

The only section I’ve passed is AUD, and if I don’t pass all 3 in Q3 I will lose AUD in Sept.

What are thoughts on trying to take BEC, REG, and FAR all in one quarter?

I think the harsh reality is that I’m pretty much going to lose the only credit I have earned. I really thought I could move onto REG so I could get done with REG & FAR and have it knocked out. But the tables have turned.

I started this journey in 2012, and out of over 10 tests, I have 1 pass. Which I’m about to lose. BLAH! Sorry for the pity post, just feeling somewhat hopeless about this thing. I feel I’m putting as much time into this as I can.. but yet its still not enough.

Anyone else ever in a similar situation?

Passing BEC, FAR and REG in one quarter (counting June for study time as September is closed) would be really, really difficult. I'm not going to say it is impossible, but you really need to hone in on passing another part so you can stay motivated going forward. If you try to study for and pass all three before September you are going to burn out. This is just my opinion, others may disagree, but I have been where you are and becoming demotivated is a huge risk; having one or two parts under your belt is the fuel you will need to conquer this thing later this year or early 15′.

I understand how you feel. As you can see I have sat quite a few times myself. I have to pass BEC and AUD before the end of August or I lose REG. I took AUD on May 29 and got a 74 so that's the first part I'm going to focus on since it's fresh in my mind. I would suggest focusing on knocking out BEC first since you just took the exam then move onto the other two. Next I would do the part you feel more comfortable with out of REG and FAR and save the hardest one for last. For REG Tax is more important than Law if you're running out of time studying I would devote more time to Tax. That's not to say Law isn't important but Tax is a larger part of the exam and most likely all your SIMs will be Tax questions.

@lsutigers03.. thanks. Would you say that BEC material aligns somewhat with FAR? I was thinking of giving FAR a shot and saving REG for last.

I passed AUD first back in October 2013, I've been struggling with BEC ever since and now found out I just failed REG. We are very similar TXCPAGAL12. I think you should try to stick with BEC and then REG since you've studied them before. You are at risk of losing AUD. However, if you pass BEC and REG you would be half way there and only have to take AUD (retake) and FAR. I wish you the best, I know how frustrating this is.

    AUD - Passed - 82 (10/1/13), Expires 4/1/2015 (57,62,64)
    BEC - Passed - 77 (7/14/14) (53,67,70,74) Half way to CPA!!!!
    REG - Passed - 81 (8/23/14) (68) 3 down 1 to go!!
    FAR - Passed - 75 (11/11/14) I'm DONE!!!!!

LSU – I'll trade you a BEC for a REG. Took my first solid look at the material and it just looks horrendous!

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?
