I worked full time or more than full time while studying

FAR: I studied for about 2.5 months and passed with a great score. It was my first test and I was super scared. While taking the test I remember feeling everything was familiar and few things were beyond the scope of my study program. Even the unfamiliar ?sl didn’t scare me too much becaue they still felt familiar. I felt MCQs were fair and all but 2 SIMS were fair. I did just under 2k questions on the WTB.

BEC: This was my 2nd test and a I had a lot of stressful financial changes. I spent 1 month and maybe a week studying. I did more WTB questions then I did on FAR but still less than 2k. The MCQs were almost ridiculously easy all three testlets (WTB really prepared me), but I felt the WC were ridiculously out of left field. I felt like I bombed all three. Barely passed but passed none-the-less and I give the glory to WTB. If I had to do it over I would try something different to prepare for the WC.

AUD: Studied for about a month. Worked about 44 hrs a week during that time and studied AUD all other available moments. I did less than 2k ? on WTB and did less questions than I did for BEC but more than for FAR. Felt good about first testlet and bad about second and really bad about third (felt it was easier but so discouraged I know it impacted my third testlet answers negatively). I felt great on the SIMS but I was really discouraged about my MCQs but I still passed with a better margin than I did on BEC but not as great as I did on FAR.

REG: I took this test a few weeks ago and am waiting score release. I did more than 2k questions and am still very nervous because it was really, really hard. I spent a month and a half and had to work the fewest hours at my job. I had two full weeks off during this time making my study hours equivalent if not more than the hours I spent on FAR. None-the-less I don’t want to say too much about it cause I am afraid of jinxing myself!!!!

All this being said the only one I have felt good about so far was the first one (FAR) which was so far my highest score.

I used Yaeger and Wiley to study. I would say this is a great program for FAR. BEC I would supplement with programs emphasizing WC. For AUD I would supplement with NINJA. For REG I don’t know what to say…experience is not enough but I don’t see how someone without experience would pass this test!!!!

Good old Gandalf, "All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is give to us."
"Not all those who wander are lost."

    FAR: I slayed the Dragon!
    BEC: I defeated the Siren!
    AUD: I eliminated Medusa!
    REG: ?????

Good luck on REG! Seems like you found your groove and will pass 🙂

For FAR, did you practice SIMs or just MCQs in WTB?

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

Thanks for sharing! What do you mean by ‘WC' when you were talking about BEC (haven't taken BEC yet)?

Confidence is a prerequisite for success

    FAR - 1/1
    AUD - 1/1
    BEC - 1/1
    REG - Q4

Have Becker, wish I got Roger

BEC has written communication problems where instead of simulations you have problems where you have to write memos and other writing tasks.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
