I want to know whether anybody has had this kind of experience. I am closing month end with no help. Manager didn’t show up for work today! I just started recently and still trying learn about the company. I have never seen such a disfunctional department. I am stressed out and on top of it , writing the exam on Saturday.

Just try to relax…it will honestly make it go better if you do! But I can totally understand why that is stressful. I'd hate to be in that spot! We close after the month is over, so I'm gearing up for close starting Monday…but even though my work is fairly routine through close, I'd still freak out if my boss wasn't there.

But if it's any comfort, I took my last exam – REG – the Saturday after my first-ever month-end close, and I passed it. 🙂

Hope your boss shows up tomorrow!

Boss never bothered to show today!! But she harassed me all day long by email. She had the nerve to tell me that I was avoiding her. I just happen to be temporary contractor. How do these people become bosses?

You'll be fine!! Look around for a desktop or SOP. See if they keep a calendar for close or checklist anywhere. If all else fails, ask other workers about their portion of the close. This way does suck but in the long term it is great experience. Don't stress, you can do it!!
