Hi Mia116292, You have been a positive influence on this forum and I was hoping you would like to share your exam experience: time tables, and study techniques with materials. I know we can’t be you and do it like you, but good examples and experiences is what I (probably others) need to pass this thing.

Ok guys don’t call me lame, I am just trying to get a success story and most of those that have passed since mia has not logged on anymore, except skynet….I guess this means I need to get it done. (been here too as a cheer leader, I’d rather be a cpa).

Awww that was nice thanks. In July of 2010 I was halfway through my master's and everyone asked if I was going to be a CPA (I was 41, had been working in accounting for 18 years,never in public). Applied for the exam and got approval in August. I started studying FAR (only using cpareviewforfree) and sat in October. Got a 75 exactly. Tried to squeeze in AUD in November (this time using Wiley) day of my exam my boss had a tantrum and told me if I was out of work for more than 2 hours I'd be fired. Got a 47. Wouldn't have passed even if I had more time, so it is what it is. Started studying for BEC right away, using Wiley again, took it 6 weeks later got a 77. Tried to take REG in the same window and got somewhere in the 60s. By this time I was honestly melting down, went to a shrink, and was diagnosed with ADD. (Was putting down a floor in my kitchen while my Wiley book laid open in front of me, thought I could do it all) on medication I could just study v instead of multitasking with home improvements.

Took REG for the second time Q2 2011 and passed with a 75. Took AUD again, got a 71. Was my third fail overall but stung because I could have been done. Beginning of September 2011 got the ninja notes and copied them word for word, ten pages a day, four thirty days while doing 100 mcq per day. Took AUD for a third time oct 19, 2011. Was so convinced I failed I continued studying until score release,, but got an 84!!!

I was working full time, have 2 kids, taking 2 classes per semester for my master's. Studied 1-2 hours every night and 8-10 hours on weekends for 6 weeks for each exam (give or take). Complete insanity but I got my master's degree jan 2012 and my license March 2012.

I personally like success stories to motivate in studying and overcoming obstacles. It is really nice to read about others that have over came obstacles whether illness, children, jobs, ill parents, death, divorce,newly weds, late life reinvention, what ever the adventure, the result was passing. I hope others from the pass will connect and share with us still trying to figure it all out and find the motivation to get it done.
